Hey! I have two new kittens from the same litter they are about eleven weeks old. It's a Male and a Female. They love wrestling but I'm afraid one might hurt the other and they love climbing curtains and furniture. Does anyone have advice on how to keep them from climbing?

On the topic of cats eating odd things... my cat has never been one to eat anything other than her food - she wouldn't even eat treats until very recently - but if I leave a finished bowl of ramen in my room with the intent of cleaning it later, my cat will always start licking the bottom. She probably likes it because it's so salty. I've since learned that my finished ramen needs to immediately be taken to the kitchen. :')

Kittens are hardier then they look. They can survive a decent fall. I wouldn't be too worried unless they're climbing all the way to the ceiling.

Climbing is a natural behavior that can't and shouldn't be curbed. You can purchase a cat tree to redirect them onto when they're climbing your curtains.

Thanks. They have a play climbing tree but I believe that they think it's more fun to see the whole house and the neighbors backyard for them.

They may need a different type of cat tree then, or just more than one. My cats have two trees, each in front of a window and I plan on adding a third as soon as I can find one that I like. Whenever you see one of them climbing something they shouldn't be, move them to their tree. They'll learn that climbing is only allowed on that surface.

You could also try moving the location of the cat tree if they're not using it. My cats rarely used theirs, so I moved it so that it sits in front of a window in my kitchen. Now there's always at least one cat on it!

I really want an indoor cat, we already have a dog and chickens but my dog would probably be fine with them ( she's been around lots of animals including rats and mice ). My mom only wants a senior cat ( 10-15 years old) which I'm fine with, because our spca constantly has senior cats ( usually because they don't want an older cat, or their owner died) and the one that caught my eye is a female 10 year old blue cream tortoiseshell. I fell in love with her beautiful green and blue eyes. She seems extremely healthy, and is described as one of the sweetest cats in the world. She would work out perfect with my family because she can't be around kids and other cats ( we have some cats on our street but she'd be indoors ). I'm guessing by kids they meant under 10?

My one problem is that I don't know how to convince my parents. It costs 85$ to adopt a senior cat, which I would easily get, but my parents always think we aren't responsible enough.. I really love this cat so if anyone has any tips that'd be really great <3
Thanks !

i didn't really get any responses to this, and I don't really want to get in the middle of it as I don't even own a cat and probably don't understand. Everyone has really cute cats though, and I hope I can get one soon <3

Well. Show more responsibility by feeding and watering your chickens and dog and maybe clean out the chicken's pen every week. I have dogs chickens and cats so I have experience. Maybe clean the house a bit.
