A few days ago, I found an advert for a guinea pig (a cuy board, a breed I've been debating about owning for a while), and contacted the advertiser to arrange a visit. Arranged to visit for two days later, set a time and everything. Then, the morning I was supposed to be going, I saw another message from them (that they'd sent late the night before) bascially saying that someone else had contacted them before me, but couldn't arrange transport, and had now arranged transport so they were letting him because they were first. Fair enough, someone got in before me, but why not tell me that, and let me arrange to come get him.
They said they'd let me know if the other person let them down.
Anyway, a couple of hours after the time I was supposed to be going to get them, I saw they'd updated to advert. Which tells me they've still got him. And not messsaged me to say they'd been let down.
So, if you were in my shoes, would you contact them again to see if he is still available? Or just...let it go. I want him so much, instantly feel in love with the picture on the ad, but I am so...greatly annoyed. To put it politely.
I don't know what to do

I know I'm so terrible at staying in touch with people.
Uhh...what little of my sanity is left?
If they ignore me, or get back to me and say he's gone even though the ad is still there, I...don't know if I can take it. I'm feeling pretty...fragile right now.
I just feel like I'd be setting myself up for disappointment again, y'know? I can't even remeber how many ads I've responded to, just to be either ignored or messed around with. (Seriously, took me a freakin year to find a legit APH breeder).
And of the other hand, I have seen ads from a cuy breeder in North Yorkshire, in an area we visit pretty often. So, there's that to consider too.
