I made my final desicion on what fish to get! Today when I went to the pet store, I picked up........ (Drumroll please)
3 juli Cory catfish
2 more ottos (in addition to the one I already have)
And three Ghost shrimp (1 of which is carrying eggs!)

How many gallons is your tank? : 5gal
How many fish and what types are they? : Just the mystery snail! (a few pond snails but not enough that I've had problems.)
How long has it been running? : 4 months
Did you cycle it? : I guess? The pH levels are steady. I am not sure about the nitrogen, but I haven't had any problems.
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : ^
What is the issue or question? :
My purple mystery snail USED to be the beautiful bright purple color with a white/colorless body. Now his shell is turning white as well. I read up online that lack of calcium can do that, as well as a low pH. The ph is about 6.8, and the shell is not crumbling/erodng like described in other forums. Water temperature is 78 degrees, warm enough for the snail but not too hot to cause a huge emount of fast growth or death. I just put a new "toy" in there for him. He was in there with a rock from LFS, a plastic plant, and now has a basking "rock" that from walmart that is supposedly safe for terrerium and aquatic environments.

I just noticed the coloration loss today after I put the new rock/statue thing in. He's moving around like normal right now, although the past few days he had been sitting in his shell with it half open and not moving frequently with a duller color. Today is when I noticed the drastic change to white on the shell.

I LOVE ghost shrimp too! These are the first cities I've ever owned and I'm loving them too!

Raising crayfish. Sounds like fun! Haha I can't wait for the millions of ghost shrimp. I love the little buggers! I'd have a tank dedicated to just them if I could. I might have a tank in the attic......

OH! Another thing; I\m going to be stealing my moms Pleco when I move too, cause the poor guy has been living in a 10gal for like 5 or so years now and although im pretty sure his growth has been stunted forever, I still feel I should give him a better home for the rest of his life!

I wasn't planning on moving all the way to the UK in the beginning, so stealing him and giving him a bigger tank would have been easier if it was just a drives away. But I'm still determined to put him in a bigger tank... I'm sure I could transport him, but what the heck am I supposed to keep him in until I can get a big enough tank? All he will have (unless I can think of something better {which is why I'm asking you guys for help}) is my bettas five gallon. And i'm not sure they would get along stuck in a five gallon either. And I don't want to stick Houdini in an even smaller tank than hes already in.

Of course it would be temporary.. But the bigger the option the better, of course.

Many reasons, the foremost reason is kinda personal, so lets just say its for a friend. Not a friend who lives in the UK, but for a friend I have here in Canada. But it's a darn good reason.
Also because I want to experience the different culture, without having to learn another language.
Another reason is because I do not want to live in Canada my whole life, and it is quite expensive to live in the area in which I live.
And finally another personal reason.

So many different reasons. And i'm not bringing all my pets either, just the two fish and my dog. My cat, rabbit, and moms fish tank are staying back home.

Ahh, okay. I don't mean to pry, I'm sorry. My curiosity gets the best of me. The reason I ask is because I'd love to live in the UK myself, but I've met someone I love dearly and so I'm rooted in my home state now.
I couldn't bear to leave my cat. She's my baby.

As for the pleco, plastic storage totes work well for temporary tanks, and they're cheap. ^^ several users on the forum have recommended them as temp tank options.

I used to house my crayfish in a plastic bin before we fixed her up with a nice 20-gallon.
