Octavia is so cute! The ear setting is looking good, too. Coming along nicely. Just out of curiosity, what were the ear sets of her parents?

On another note, I just want to say that I’m so grateful that Blue is a quiet dog. There are so many dogs in our neighbourhood that just won’t shut up. Barking all the time. Definitely doesn’t make taking her on walks easier, considering it’s very distracting for her, but it puts my mind at ease to know that she won’t bark back. I was walking her the other day and our neighbour’s dog aggressive Australian Shepherd was across the street going nuts. Blue was pulling towards the dog a little at first, but once I got her attention and rewarded her she completely ignored the dog. She’s such a good girl. Most of the time, anyway lol.

We're going to foster a greyhound soon! Any tips would be great. We already have Karma, who is ours, and we figure we'll treat the new grey like how we treated Karma when we first got her. Let them do their thing, be gentle, quiet, introduce them to the other animals slowly, ect, ect.. But anything else would be handy. Here's a picture of out Karma, just because.

We're going to foster a greyhound soon! Any tips would be great. We already have Karma, who is ours, and we figure we'll treat the new grey like how we treated Karma when we first got her. Let them do their thing, be gentle, quiet, introduce them to the other animals slowly, ect, ect.. But anything else would be handy. Here's a picture of out Karma, just because.

That's wonderful of you to foster! It sounds like you know what you're doing. I'd get him a bandana, vest or leash cover that says "Adopt Me" to wear when you have him out, as well as carry the website/info of the rescue he comes from in case people are interested in adoption/foster/donating. Also I'd put some ID on him that leads back to you.

I haven't posted a Lyra update in a while, so here's a quick one.

She's gotten a bit chubby over winter but I plan on burning that all off in spring, I'm wanting to get active this year so I'm thinking of starting trail running with her beside the bike. I've started college this year and that's a bit testing with her SA but she's doing so well.

We've also been hit by a ton of snow, it's hip-deep now and Lyra likes it to an extent (gets a bit worried in the deepest parts bless her).

In case y’all were wondering, I have a extremely tolerant puppy 😂! She’s such a good girl! We are going to a festival tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure I had a way to carry her in case she got tired. So today we tried out my backpack and luckily she likes it! Totally happy to just chill out and relax for the ride lol. I’ll try to get some higher quality photos tomorrow at the festival!

Loki turned 3 on the 28th. Mom gave him plenty of veggies and spoiled him. Couldn’t be there but he was happy. We just went to academy sports and saw a service pupper. He was very well behaved. No I didn’t try and pet him but I did get a picture while we waited in line. Since everyone is making a big issue i removed the picture even though I was given permission and there are no laws saying it can’t be posted. Looked that up before posting along with there being no identifying information in the picture.

that is nice that you do this, and a good idea with how you want to treat the dog^^ and as you got a Grey too they will have fun playing and the other learns to be a Family dog^^
did they do health test already? and how long is the Grey out of the racing...because when it was only some weeks ago and it is healthy you need to let him run more often, for fun only or at the bike or when you go running or in a safe fenced Meadow, but not free when new,and is the dog from kennel or house...because then you know if housebroken or not.

to the fluff, it could be possible that she will loose a lot of it with first heat, some border owner at the dog training place had a fluffy girl, who nearly looked short hair after i think i remember right second or so heat, they did say that it sometimes comes back other had no problem with this or they did feed good fish oil or hemp oil, not sure what it was.
i hope your new girl stays like this^^
