My snails have never even attempted to escape with me. Although, the only hole on the lid is blocked by the filter. But even so, I've never seen any of them go above the water line {unless you count their foot cx}.
Not sure what you really mean by crawling upside down? ^^' If you mean like, hanging upside down from the top of stuff then yes, mine have done that but only from items around the tank.
And I'm assuming by limit you mean tank size. ^^ I keep mine in a ten gallon with my two Glofish. {I am going to be getting some more Glofish though. They were originally my little sister's. One died and then it took me forever to convince my mom to get another one.} I'm also going to be upgrading them to a twenty gallon soon. But as for now, they're perfectly fine. c: No fights and no escapees.

As long as you have the tank space one Apple snail is fine.

Depends on what kind of plants you want.
Low light plants are easy. Just trim off any dead parts and scrape off any algae build up.
As for how many you can have there is not a limit. However if the plants eat up all the nutrients in the tank you need to use fertilizer to replace the nutrients.

Hey guys!
I have two female guppies who are just starting to get their color. They are alone in a 10 gallon. Are there any tank mates I can get them? Would an adult female guppy be able to eat them? The smaller one, Beth, is maybe 1/2 an inch to an inch. Do you thing if I got two-three tetras that would work sense I have the two guppies, or do I need five tetras still?
Everyday, it's getting closer...
