You should fill out the fish problem form out the front. You need say what the tank size is, how many fish and what sort of fish there were and such. Otherwise it's really hard to help fix any problem you have. c:
And I'm not sure if you guys remember my tank (if you don't I can re-fill out the help form thing), but I've been having some issues with red algae. It is only in my filter, but it slows the filtration down and I don't know how to get rid of it. The tank is now fully cycled by the way.

Up water changes and make sure you are cleaning everything well, make sure you are not overfeeding, reduce light.
Reducing the nutrients algae uses is the best way to get rid of it.

RoosterHawk wrote:Yeah you shouldn't have to worry about it. Those don't get that hot and even if it did, unless your fish were resting on the rocks themselves, it wouldn't hurt them/the rocks/the heater.
That's good to know, thanks.
I finally plugged in the heater a few minutes ago.
I'm waiting to put Ruby in there until I see how the temp changes after a day. I've started a log to record the temp in every day, and I've already recorded the temp without the heater on.

I understand, but if he's three years old he's very very stunted. His organs will grow while his body doesn't until he dies from them being squished. And a fish that size still needs at least 20 gallons, even if it was full sized. You can't keep anything over 1 inch in less than a 10 gallon for the most part.
