Can we talk about how littering and human population are effecting the wolves?
Hello everyone! I am back for the summer since I have nothing to do over the span of my two month summer vacation!
I am searching for some semi-lit roleplays to take part in to keep me amused over the time. I won't be on every single waking moment although (like I used to) because I do have a little bit of a social life this summer (surprise, surprise!).

Ok so what's going on. I see there's a wolf of the month thing, and the new topic about littering and human polution, is that it?
I don't know what to say about littering other than the obvious: wolves and other animals can choke on what you don't throw out...

Most of the wolves left in the world today are found living on the frozen tundra of Alaska and Canada. Here they have the ability to live in remote areas and not be bothered like they are in other places where humans are more likely to settle. Even so, it doesn’t mean they aren’t in jeopardy due to a lack of food. Hunters go to those areas as well in the hopes of being able to successfully kill wolves.
I was looking around and found this. :3

That's good that they are alrigt up there. But isn't it horrible they human would want to just go up there and 'have a little fun', as some might say? They have lives, the only thing that makes them different from us is that they're...well, wolves. XD

I don't like littering. Sadly, I see litter everywhere, people don't get that animals can choke on it. An example is that sea animals think plastic bags are food, and swallow the plastic bag and then choke and die. I'm sure you've all heard of that example before, but I couldn't think of any other example. So yeah, littering = not cool.

Yes, I've heard of that too. I don't think wolves really live close enough for that to happen, but I do think that it could harm what they eat: hooved animals, and sometimes rodents. And sometimes even fish. So even if they aren't affected, they might be impacted by the foodchains.

That's probably very true. And what about runoff from acid rain? When it goes downhill, I'll bet some of it is absorbed in the soil, then it's in the grass, and it harms the prey, which harms the predators. I mean, of course wolves will often choose to go after the sick, but that's natural illness. Not an animal being harmed by bio-hazardous toxins!

Sorry for all the late replies but I can't be on all day. x3
Anyways, I love the stamp Summer it's cute. :3
Littering is just sick and causes many deaths to all sorts of animals that get curious. I mean, you've all seen Happy Feet? And what happened to Lovelace (Good example eh?). That sort of thing could happen to all sorts of species, and it should be stopped. I always try to pick up as much rubbish that I find on the floor as I can. :3
That's just my little talk on littering. o: Inluding happy feet.

I was DragonDance before, and I may change it back, so please do not take the name. Thank you. <3
Heya folks! I'm a big fan of Kingdom Hearts. I have a slight obsession with wolves and dragons AND... You can find me on Flight Rising as Xelly as well - I'm more active there.

Have a lovely day! Toodles!

I see the new topic, and I like the new 'Wolf of the Month' thing and stuff C: Yes, I hate littering. It sickens me when I saw someone walk by and carelessly throw a candy wrapper or empty bag or something on the road, or the sidewalk, or anywhere. It's just stupid and careless and horrible. :I Has any of you seen the movie Wall-e? Good movie, but I keep thinking, what if that's how our earth turns out, because of our pollution and littering.

the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."
