The burrito trick is all I got. Take a towel and wrap em up snug and if they squirm too much then take a break and try again later. I've never had a rabbit squirm in a burrito though, even my dwarf who is a huge brat.

It definitely helps having someone else to hold them while you trim the claws or vice versa. That way they're not getting jostled around any more than necessary and the whole process is a lot quicker and easier.

mmk thank you
I'll be sure to try that ^^

I’ll have to try this trick too!! This has saved me from needing to ask later on when it’s time to trim Curie’s nails

Anything you just put on the ground will get scratched at, nibbled at and they try to dig. It will be destroyed or thrown away and then there's the glass again...
So no, I stand by my opinion, that this is just not good in any way. Totally agree with Star_Bun about the cost factor too.

I mean... which fish tank is at least 2 m² big and I mean ground space with that... O-o"
(Edit: Just checked what standard sizes are, even 180 gallon tanks are way too small for even a single bunny...)

@ Jun.
Good luck with the trimming.
I have a very wiggly bouncing gummy ball in my hand whenever I try to trim Tikki. =w=
Flip & Ria are pretty good, I just keep a tight hold on them and actually hold both of their front paws in my hand, I start at the bottom. Since they try always try to roll out of the hold, that actually works good, since they cannot rotate far enough to escape then.

@ ~Atlas~
Kiss montersssss
Tikki also licks anything for hours if I let her.

Hello! I have a Dutch/Silver Marten mix named Clark.

He's been home for a month, though I had visited him regularly for two months before I adopted him. He's such a delight, I couldn't ask for a better ESA.

It's neat to see other rabbit owners here.

Dutch bunnies are sooooo cute!!! I’m happy yogurt bun has settled in well!! Bunnies make great ESAs, mines not an ESA but she sure does make me feel better with the bond we’ve created and I feel less empty with her around! Do you have any pics of the bun? It’s great seeing everyone’s cuties 🙂

Thank you! I have him in my signature, though I have tons of pictures if you want to see him. It might be easier to link to his bunstagram . I love to hang out on the floor beside him, just being around him makes me feel calmer.

I understand how you feel!! Idk if you view it this way but to me it’s very heartwarming to know that a prey animal has put so much trust on you where as a predator like a dog or cat wouldn’t be as fearful(as long as they weren’t abused of course). The other day mine flopped and fell asleep in the middle of me petting her and just let me keep petting and I swear my heart melted!!!

Edit: a good tip on keeping your rabbits cool would be wrapping a flat ice pack in a rag and laying it in their cage/fave spot!!! Also put ice cubes in their bowl/bottle! Even though it's still technically spring it's definitely getting hot in the south where I am. Youre bunnies will appreciate it! Mine has been laying on the ice pack on and off all afternoon (:

Yesterday I accidentally forgot to latch Betty's cage... my mother came over while I was feeding her and I got distracted apparently. I left the doors open to the shed because it was such a nice day. lol So a couple hours later I let my dog out and he was barking his little head off, so I opened the curtains and I saw a streak of white run by. I thought it was the neighbors little dog (because I've seen him in my yard a couple times).... well I go out and there she is. Sitting under the big pine tree and eating the grass. I watched her a bit while I waited for my boyfriend to help me catch her. She was quite smart. She stayed away from the road when she decided to go out in the open, and also to evade us, stayed close to the base of the tree (which is VERY prickly!!! LOL) When I finally picked her up, she didn't even seem to mind.. No kicking or anything... she had her fun.... but she's an Angora so she had all sorts of tree bits and dead leaves in her wool. hahaha So she had to sit thru a long brushing.

What a naughty bun! I've forgotten to lock cages before with my old bun I used to have and he ran around my room half the night, I thought he was some sort of demon at first in the dark!! I guess she felt like she needed some extra exercise :)

does anyone else's rabbit sneeze when they encounter new foods??? I've introduced Curie to parsley and a banana today (at separate times) and every time she sniffed each food she gave a little sneeze, she'd do that a few times before hopping away. She eventually warmed up to the parsley but not the banana yet. It's seems very quirky to say the least lol

Could be her way of saying it smells different. Like humans wrinkling their noses to new/weird smells. If it's more of a "snort" like trying to get something out of her nose, dont bee too worried, if it's more of a full on sneeze make sure the dust/pollen/air floaties aren't too crazy high where she is kept.
