      It was Ruby's birthday yesterday!!
      13! Proper teenager now. May add pics to this post later but for now I just wanted to share;
      I love her so much and she had a great time walking with her 'pals'. I also made her a doggy banana cake with potato frosting (if you're curious, don't ever taste a potato & yoghurt frosting. absolutely vile, wouldn't recommend lol. the cake itself is good though.)
      No presents this year because she's already overwhelmed by the the toys she has from last year & Christmas, though I suppose my gift to her was nearly crying over how much I spent on steak for them all.
      Aside from the scares she's been giving us recently, she's still fine and still acts like a puppy, and I'm already looking forward to next year's birthday. More cake. More steak. More squeaky toys.

@Aura. Oh my goodness- 😂 You're right, I love this! Unflattering pictures of dogs like this are the best, LOL. And at the same time it makes me so happy to see you guys playing with him and having fun with him!!

@ᴍᴀᴏᴄɪғᴇʀ Wow!! It sounds like Ruby had an excellent birthday :D I'm glad that she's doing alright and that you guys had so much fun!

He doesnt respond to his name, He doesnt respond to no 80% of the time and nothing seems to be helping?
Like ive looked up tons of tutorials but nothing seems to really be helping

SO if anyone has any tips/ tricks on how I can start training him to learn his name, tell him stop/no, sit, ect. I would really appreciate it ty ^^

^ It sounds like you just need to start with the basics. Play the name game with him: say him name in an excited tone then say yes or use a clicker when he shows any sort of attention towards you such as looking, turning an ear back, etc. then give a treat he likes and praise him.

For sit, lure him with the treat above his nose (not too high that he’s jumping) and say yes or use the clicker when his bum hits the ground and give him the treat.

I’m not really sure what you’re telling him no for but, if it’s for chewing on something, take the item away and replace it with a toy or something he can have. If he’s having an accident, clap or make a startling noise instead of saying no and quickly take him outside. He’s just learning!

^ Thank you for the advice! Ill try doing these
Im usually just saying no because he tends to bite me, I say no and then try to get his attention to toys but he goes for my hand, arm, toes ect instead

^ Puppies are definitely notorious for seeing people as chew toys, huh? Especially if they're teething, which is just painful :') If the clap doesn't work something you can do for a dog who's playing too rough is to turn away and just walk away or even go in a different room for a brief moment (only 10-20 seconds), or crate him for a bit, and then return when he's calmed down a bit and reward him for chilling out. Hopefully, he'll eventually realize that biting means that playtime's over, and all is well when he is doing pretty much anything but that. If you use toys, try playing with them and praising him when he does, too!

Ofc sometimes it's just a matter of taking him out on a run or something but that's generally what I've heard of people doing when it comes to puppies using humans as teething toys.
