I have been raising dogs for 17 years.... And I have an active sled team and I feed them elk, and beef mixed with kibbles and bits and I never had a problem with them! Not one single dog has had ANY of those problems... They are all VERY healthy and happy... So I don't mean to come across rude in any way, but I will stick with my dogs' diet the way it is...

Somebody tried to tell me Goodbites (-coughpedigreecough-) Hip & Joint treats are good and that they'll help Loli with her joints (arthritis).

Goodbites Hip&Joint Treats wrote:Rice Flour, Wheat Flour, Water, Chicken By-Product Meal (Natural Source of Glucosamine & Chondroitin), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sugar, Animal Fat (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Natural Poultry Flavor, Caramel Color, Wheat Bran, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Natural Sizzling Steak Flavor, Hickory Flavor, Potassium Sorbate (A Preservative), Phosphoric Acid, Calcium Propionate (A Preservative), Titanium Dioxide Color, Sodium Tripolyphosphate, BHA (A Preservative)

-loud buzzing sound- No thanks. First off, don't see anything special about these treats. In fact, they look like the normal ick Pedigree passes off as good. Second, if all they're using for glucosamine and chondroitin is the chicken by-product meal, I'm sure Blue Wilderness Chicken is going to do A LOT more for Loli's arthritis with it's ACTUAL meat. Plus, the BW's ingredients are ten times better then what Pedigree's crud has.

Anyway, their poops are getting smaller, are a good color and are harder :3 Both are on 50/50, as we pegged Clemmy's throwing up to her eating too much at once. So, she's on scheduled, small meals 4 times a day. Tomorrow, they're being upped to 75/25. I'm having to fight against my mom though x.x She doesn't wait out Loli long enough for her to finish her Beneful and will give her more BW. xp Trying to convince her not to do it but when Loli's with her and not me... -sigh- She also fed Clemmy a bowl of food yesterday because she was begging (which was only because my mom had the BW out to get Loli more). T.T So I had to skip two of Clemmy's meals. Clemmy was already eating so I didn't want to take the bowl from her. (And yes, I'm the designated dog feeder right now.) Mom, I love you but... gawd.

Skoll is still a little loose; we're at just borderline not solid atm. Not bad for a rushed switch, tbh. I found a huge bag of EVO for $48 ( >:] Cardinal, move here, our prices are better) and so we've got plenty to last now. Saff is still on her bag of EVO from September.

ITS NOT FAIR! :SOB: I WANT EVO THAT PRICE WWWWAAAHHHH.

We picked up a 20-somthing pound bag of Natures Variety raw boost for just under 60 which isn't a bad deal.. I think its 28lbs. Juniper is doing very well on it, solid poops that are pretty dense. We had a couple of sudden changes from whatever she was eating before, straight onto Earthborn.. then pretty much straight onto Pure Beyond (Best Ol Roy, only rice as a grain and no by-products or anything) then to this cold turkey.. We had some bad poops on the Pure Beyond.. Mushy and huge.. x.x Its ASTOUNDING to me the difference in.. digestion.. between a decent food with a single grain and then the grain free with reall high meat content. <3

She's also conquered raw beef necks, pork chop bones, and chicken wings. <3 No organ meats, yet. =)
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

I believe you were cackling over it, right? xDD

Today was organ day for Okami, she sure does love this day of the week xP
Otherwise nothing new on the raw front, just always looking for whatever interesting meats I can find haha

*cackles*

That's why having a huge local pet store that bulk-orders and then goes "oops that didn't sell as well as we'd like" and marks EVERYTHING down drastically comes in handy. Seriously, I got a $70 dog backpack for a little over $11 and I'm waiting for them to go "oops" over their giant dog beds so I can buy one for Skoll.

Skoll's are mushy, but small due to the high protein thankfully. He's also not bloody yet which is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT OMG- seriously I need to have him checked for vWD, the amount of blood was more than a little startling. He's had two knucklebones so far, with his poo bouncing between good and bad I want to limit the amount of raw I give him until he balances out. I'm not sure if I want to see if I can tempt him with some liver until then either.

I believe you were cackling over it, right? xDD

I even did a little dance ;] And then got frustrated that I had to lug the heavy bag to the car by myself with a snake around my neck X_X One of those 30ish pound bags.

I was wondering, is Blue Buffalo dog food okay to feed dogs?

Yes, it is. Not sure what that has to do with the disturbing title...
