@jellybaloo: I'm debating. I'm think a 5 gallon with only a few, yet mixed types of fish, or 10 gallon which I can just put more fish in.

@Betta123: Thanks! I'll look for some when I go :)
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it’s dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete, when no one else ever cared.

Vanilla.soda- check out the German Blue Ram! I think they're gorgeous! I'm sad I didn't learn about them earlier or I would have gotten them instead of my betta. But I love him anyway C: haha

You cant really put much in a 5g as most of the small fish need to be in schools of atleast 5-7 which would over stock a 5g, in a 10g you could put a dwarf gourami and some neons? Danio love swimming and chasing each other around the tank so they are recommended for at least a 20g

How many gallons is your tank? :40-50
How many fish and what types are they? : 2 fish, two mollusks A pleco and shubunkin
How long has it been running? : about a year
Did you cycle it? : for two months before fish,
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : no ammonia, safe nitrates.
What is the issue or question? : What should i do if my pleco is trying to eat my snail if i don't currently have a tank ready for him. I plan to move him into my tropical tank, once the ph is down.

Also, do fish yawn? with my goldie, and previous goldfish do a specific behavior that looks like yawning to me. i was wondering if it is in fact yawning and not something else,

From time to time they will "yawn", its basically to move water over the gills faster to get more oxygen I think. Like we do when we take a deep breath. Fequrent yawning can mean that your water quality is bad though. It could be Nitrates or Ammonia. So if he does often check the water paramaters.

Plecos should not be kept with goldfish. Plecos have been known to eat the slime coat and kill a goldfish. Also Plecos have diffrent tempature requrements. Plecos are tropical and goldfish need cold water.
If you can, I would move the Pleco into the tropical tank as fast at you can.

What PH issues are you having? A lot of us here believe that a steady PH is best instead of having to keep it at one place unless it is acidic, causing PH swings and stressing fish out.

You can take the snail out and put him in a food safe bin with a lid and daily water changes until you get things figured out.

Yes i'm working on moving him as said before. and i don't think i have a fod safe thing. can i just put him back in my beta tank? oh and my ph is way on the other end of acidic, and i mean that the strips i use show maximun (which i think is 8 or nine i think) i have o idea why, though unless its the town's water all screwy because isn't water supposed to be neutral?
