Hey guys... Sorry I haven't really been on lately; I've been a bit fuzzy with my living situation. Sadly, all of my fish but one have to go... I kept Merlin, the six year old betta only because I don't think I could bear parting with him and the other six fish will be going to a breeder that I know. At least that way I know they're going to be taken care of by someone that knows what their doing..
Just to bring up an topic that everyone knows of, How do you care for your tanks? Do you guys use Drip Systems? Water changes twice a week? I've always been curious if i'm doing water changes right.
Sorry if I'm not posting often. I've got a few things going on in real life. I've also been having week-long migraines so bad that I cannot see. I hope everyone understands.

Gosh I haven't posted in a while O_O *waves* Hi everyone!
Anywhoo! how I take care of my 10 gallon is once a week I use a gravel vacuum to skim the sand and collect all the poop from my betta and snails and clean up any extra cucumber/green bean thats left over from my snails meal. I also use the vacuum on the plants I have in the tank since the snails like to hang out on them a lot. This'll take out around 25% of the water maybe more so after I refill the water the tank lost its my water change for the week.

Aw I'm sorry, its good they will be taken care of though.
I clean my tanks weekly. 30-50 % water change, scrub the algae, vaccume the gravel. I usually clean the filters every month or every few months.

I do 20-50% water changes every other day and 50-90% water changes once a week.

Hey guys! So, I've had Betta's for years, and I know lot's about freshwater fish. But tonight I'm planning on getting a nice tank with a few different types of freshies. I know about care and such, but what types of fish go nicely together? Not aggressive with eachother, and so on. Of course I know Betta's, and not to put them with another, or usually other fish. But I would really like to know :) I was thinking of Neon Tetra's, and some other type so it's not just that type.
Thanks :)
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it’s dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete, when no one else ever cared.

@vanilla, try cories or zebra danios. Cories are tiny schooling catfish, very peaceful and active, and danios are small, fast-moving, schooling fish. They tend to chase others, but it's only play, not aggression. You could also try harlequin rasboras, small, peaceful schooling fish that act a lot like tetras.
