XD I love this event!!

Same! This is the closest thing I'll get to having some goldies for a bit more time. I think I'll be able to get a goldfish by the end of August at most. I still really miss having real goldfish.

Blue update: I can't go to Petco, Pet Smart, or any type of pet store until tomorrow so I guess I'll have to be a little creative with a light for Blue until I get to one. I'm probably going to use the I need more food for _____ pet excuse and also restock on food while I'm there. I can't say if I want to go to Petco or Pet Smart more. Petco is where I usually get my betta's food and turtle food while I get my tropical fish food at Pet Smart because I'm specific about what I give them.

What do you feed your Betta/s?

I give mine pellets from Wardley or if I can't find that and I need betta food I'll also get Top Fin or Tetra. When I give her foods like bloodworms I get freeze dried bloodworms from Tetra.

Conall and Terezi are spawning! There aren't too many eggs so far, but they aren't done yet.

Does anyone know a way to treat fin rot without buying medicin specifically for it? Because I think my Betta might have it but I don't have the money at the moment (I should be getting some eventually because I'm baby sitting my friends dog >.>) but I don't want it to get worse.


All so does anyone know a way to treat ich without buying medicine? (This is for the family tank my moms incharge of but she doesn't want to buy any medicin for it... Grrrr... She keeps saying that if they all die we'll just restart the tank again when we move.... I keep telling her that it's not right just to let them die!)

You can stop ich by increasing you r water temp to 82 degrees (Fahrenheit). Ich, for some reason, can not thrive at that temperature.

I'm worried about my fishies today :C I'm at my dads house and its going to be 100*F today! My mom does not like fish and thinks they're a waste of money so I know she wont do anything for them and I'm at my dads till Thursday...

Oh and to answer the food question: I feed a variety of foods. I have New Life Spectrum and Attisons Betta Pro pellets, as well as frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, tubiflex worms, mosquito larvae, and occasionally beef heart. The girls will sometimes get freeze dried brine shrimp and tubiflex worms. I also feed Rephashy meat pie gel food. I feed them live guppy fry when my female guppies drop babies.

On a sadder note: It looks like Axel isn't going to be with me much longer. He's been acting like he has no energy and hasn't been eating lately. I can't see anything physically wrong with him, but I suspect he's just old. I'm going to take a trip up to Walgreens to see if they carry clove oil. I hate to see the poor guy like this.

Not even a year, but I got him from Petco, and he was full grown, so there is no telling how old he is.
