Then again ,they claim the betas are all female, but my all red one looks almost like a male with fins that were snipped and a round tail, so that may be the issue... she is very colorful for a girl, but it has a tail the size of my other one's.

Clean the water and check for ammonia. I like to recommend salting the tank. I think for bettas you use half of the recommended dose. I'm sure the betta experts can help you better with this. :3

Will it be alone?

If yeess...

Firemouths are very broody cichlids and would probably take guppies pretty readily.

T-bar might.

Blue acara, red breasted acara, and Port acara probably would once fully grown.

Maybe an axolotl? I don't know too much about them though

If you have any ammonia at all, it's bad. Ammonia levels should be at 0. Fin rot is not contagious. It is an infection, not a disease. Fin rot is ultimately caused by poor water quality. There is fungus that can cause fin rot, but you would be able to see fungus. Using salt can help prevent infection, so I suggest more water changes, and adding AQ salt. Use the dosing listed on the box.

I think the guppies would maybe try to nibble on the axolotl's gills. I think it would be fine if dark dragon added them in only for food and not kept them in as inhabitants though.
Oh on the subject of axolotls, I found a local LFS that sells them and if I can find a place for the 30 gallon long I will be getting some. :D

They're all pretty nice for lighter colored females, and Jewl is still nothing short from fantastic. :) I only have one picture of my second betta ever, one of the three that died while I was away for the summer, Beast; none the less he is still gorgeous.

Sorry if I'm not posting often. I've got a few things going on in real life. I've also been having week-long migraines so bad that I cannot see. I hope everyone understands.
