Octavia got to go exploring our new home yesterday and had a great time surveying her new kingdom 😂. The dogs are definitely going to enjoy living where we have so much room to roam right outside our door. Tomorrow we go back to grab the rest of the crew and some more stuff to move up, then we should officially be moved fully!

not exactly sure how to word this, but my dog won't eat dog food. she is a sherpherd mix and is six years old. she literally gags at the sight of dog food but when she sees human food, she doesn't have an issue? When i take her to the vet, she acts completely normal until we get home. we have to bake her food literally every single day and it's getting irritating. now that she doesnt eat dog food we have to spoon feed her things with chicken and other vegetables and I can't feed her like this anyway. Any of you have any of advice on this? I love my dog but it's just getting too much and it's already been like several weeks and there is no improvement on her eating dogfood. If she keeps going like this my mom says we'll have to get rid of her, her vet bills are costly and she's not improving at all.

If there's nothing else that's wrong with her other than the food thing, there's no reason to get rid of her. Dogs are a big responsibility and as they get older things may change. Have you tried switching dog food brands or tried wet dog food? How long has she been doing this? You can also talk to your vet and research a balanced homemade diet

She won't touch any other dog brands that she used to love, even the wet dog food. She will only eat homemade dog food that we bake. Atleast three months or two, we try everything the vet wants and she won't budge. We have her on an appetite pill so hopefully that will make her atleast try to eat normal dry dog food. She's very prissy about food and if she doesn't like it she won't eat it.

Image oh and by the way, this is my dog Sophia. Isn't she cute?

Update: Oh my gooosshhh, I put bone broth in her dry dog food and she ate it all! (I still had to spoon feed her but that's still an improvement).

^ Yeah, I am glad there's some improvement. Have you tried offering it in a puzzle toy? That might make it more interesting for her.

when dog is not old and in its last week, got no trouble with teeth...and can eat a bone or things she likes, is not terrible thin...and vet says there is nothing wrong...and from look of her she is not to thin....
so why the vets food? there are better dog food outside to try...you can test different dry and wet dog food, mostly always go nicely together with most dogs....some like it with warmth water or some broth or some oil like lineseed, hemp or fish oil.....

but when healthy dog, dont pamper her to much, or she could get more bad....., offer her the food...maybe even with some wet Food and some oil and broth...but when she does not eat then it is so...bevor feeding go for Long walk, or let her run in yard/meadow...or train/work her...run with her, swim, or play a lot so she i tired and hungry....after 1-3 days without any food she will eat...and when it is only some....and when she has to run and fetch a food bag filled with her food of the morning or night for every tiny bite....most dog have fun with this...or let her search for her food...but never only from spoon or hand when she is healthy and young....i only think it would be right with sick and old dogs....... she has to want to eat and work for it...this makes it more intereting....., and when she did learn that you will not spoon feed her and that it is not all the fun to go hungry for a full day... or that she has to work for her food she most likely will start eating on her own from her dog bowl^^...or just Play or walk-train her bevor each feeding...you will see what does help
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!
