...You can't "talk" to a wolf, you know that right?
Imagine standing in front of a wolf, speaking to it. And then it leaps
at you and mauls you half to death. The only people you'd be
speaking to then are the people in court deciding whether
your wolf would be euthanised or not, my friend...

sparkley, it is foolish to want to own a wolf as a pet. They are wild animals. Just like you cant own a tiger or a lion or a leopard as a pet without some serious consequences. Have you never seen the show fatal attractions? One woman was eaten by her own wolf hybrids because she thought they were her friends and her pets. You cant treat them like a dog. You cant train them like a dog.
I''m not saying its not ok to have a dream to want to work with wolves. If you go to the right school and get ther ight education, you could possibly end up as a wolf biologist. Im on that path with the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Find a zoo that will let you volunteer to pick up the poo. You have to work your way up to getting with wolves, just like all wild animals.
Otherwise. It will end in tragedy, for both you and your wolf hybrid.
My 2 idiots, day 3 after I got the snowshoe kitten.
Still looking for names for the snowshoe kitten

I like wolves. I really do. They're vital to the ecosystem, are magnificent creatures, and are overall loved. I do, however, support hunting of them, though I could never do so myself. Why? Keeps things in check. Too many wolves, too few prey animals, and bam - everything is out of control. However, I, like many others, believe they've gotten far too much publicity. You'd think there were five left in the world with all the people screaming to save them! There are species where there actually ARE literally five individuals left. Nobody cares that they exist as long as wolves are on the "endangered/least concern" list.
So basically, I'm all for wolf conservation, but also hunting. (and keeping wolves is a very bad idea, but the dogs that resemble them are fine if you treat them right!)
