I forget were I heard this but it was soooooo long ago, that people (who were crazy for money) had owned private land and wolves would live on it not knowing and they would go and kill half the pack and skin them. They would keep some furs but sell the rest. Evil people.
Hello everyone! I am back for the summer since I have nothing to do over the span of my two month summer vacation!
I am searching for some semi-lit roleplays to take part in to keep me amused over the time. I won't be on every single waking moment although (like I used to) because I do have a little bit of a social life this summer (surprise, surprise!).

Wow, thanks for the information Blue, that's really interesting. It's one thing I've really never heard of until now, I really haven't heard of wolves with rabies coming into towns and stuff, only dogs. But now I know. ^^ Thanks~

Heya folks! I'm a big fan of Kingdom Hearts. I have a slight obsession with wolves and dragons AND... You can find me on Flight Rising as Xelly as well - I'm more active there.

Have a lovely day! Toodles!

Pardon me, but how is killing a few wolves (assuming greys) make someone evil? :U
Do you know when this happened?
Because not only does wolf skin/fur smell bad, but one pelt was worth only $1 in the 1830s, which only doubled 20 years later.

Ohyus, the more I know.~
Ohh and I have some cool information for you if you guys didn't already know (I found this out when I saw the wolves in the New Forest Wildlife Park).
Wolves (Grey wolves presumebly(sp?)) became extinct in England during the time of Henry the 7th, because the wolves and the humans were competing against eachother for the deer, and the humans had guns and were shooting them. So that's why there aren't any wolves in England anymore.

Maybe it was the same sort of reason. It's pretty believable that humans would shoot wolves if they noticed they were taking their live stock. So yeah, that's maybe it.

I'm pretty sure wolves don't take life stock unless they have to because dogs, and humans, the wolves that lived in Ireland were mostly killed for money, and because people thought they were evil, and some starved because they couldn't get enough food because they can't kill deer and other prey like that by themselves.

Wolves usually take them because they are easy pray, but they normally do not because there are enought of the other pray.

It was different when there was a Stark in Winterfell.
But the old wolf's dead and the young one's gone south
to play the Game of Thrones,
and all that's left us is the ghosts.
