I think Luna isn't fitting. Nova would be better. Or maybe Venus if it's a galaxy theme.
Not a galaxy theme, a harry potter theme. my mum likes the name nova, though i want her to have a harry potter themed name and luna lovegood is my favourite female character :') thanks for the opinion, though!

Luna is a cute name! My Simba was Lily until we found out the vet had gendered him wrong the first time haha
You could also call her Minnie after McGonagall or Cissa (Narcissa).
Or Nox!

All that said correct me if I'm wrong! I'm by no means an expert on cat genetics, it's just something I'm interested in and look up a lot. ^^
Thank you, I feel like I'm starting to gather a bit of a better understanding. c:
So, I understand that blue is the dilute of black. And I understand that "brown" tabbies are black tabbies.
What I'm not understanding is this;
I thought that male kittens could only be the exact base color of the mother (in this case, blue/dilute black) or the dilute of the mother's genes (I don't think that blue has a further dilution since its already the dilute of black). I didn't think that the color gene could climb back up the ladder, if that makes sense?
Like I didn't think that blue could produce black? Or in example, that a creme cat could produce a red kitten?
I'm so confused! ^^'

still no sign of him. hate to come to this heartbreaking conclusion, but albus is probably dead...
I know that feeling all too well. 4 years ago I lost my Talbot in a similar way. He was an indoor/outdoor cat and one day he disappeared. He was neutered, so I know he wasn't out looking for a mate. Sometimes I get the feeling that someone took him in and I get sort of upset...
I hope beyond hope that you get closure for Albus. :c

Dilute is a separate gene that isn't sex linked. So the mom can pass the blue and the dilute, or just the blue; same with red. That's why calicos/torties are either blue and cream or orange and dark grey/black/brown. The dilute affects both colours because it isn't sex linked. From my understanding, at least; somebody can correct me or clarify if I'm wrong.

So, little Pumpkin has been getting into a lot of trouble lately. I expect it from kittens as young as she is, but I swear she's going to make me sprout gray hairs at this rate!
I'm looking for a bit of advice, though, since I've been having trouble with this particular little munchkin where I haven't had trouble with other kittens.
What is the best way to get a kitten to stop going after food? I mean human food, specifically. She's been trying to shove her nose and paws into my food, and that's obviously not healthy for me or for her. I've tried distracting her with toys, giving her a small spray with the water bottle, and trying to keep food out of her reach. But she just won't leave it alone. Anyone know what I can do?
