This is what we use for our eskimo dog. click. When used correctly it does wonders for his shedding which is constant and never ending.

Depending on the breed, I would highly recommend the Furminator Brushes.

It will be used on a lab I think (I'll find out today as I'm meeting my Service Dog for the first time xD), so short haired. Would those both be fine for a dog with a shorter coat?

if its a lab, a furminator would be best.

Agreed c:
Though you'll need another comb of some sort for the legs and face c:

He is indeed a lab, so I will look into getting one of those this week. What do you recommend for the face and legs?

a standard short bristle brush should be fine, they're a short haired breed so nothing with overly long bristles is needed.

my dog was put to sleep yesterday

Postby EatYourBiotin » Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:32 pm

my poor roosie got really sick. it mightve been something he ate, but ultimately it caused his kidneys to basically shut down. i noticed he was acting strangely on saturday night and he was shaking and throwing up. my cousin who's a vet told us to take him to the er but my dad said to wait till the next day to take him to the vet because we can't afford the er. he had a seizure the next day, and we took him to the vet as soon as it opened. they tried giving him fluids for a few days and it seemed to help a little, but in his last blood test it showed his kidneys were basically shutting down. we took him home for one last day, and i cried so much. he was trying to use the restroom constantly, but it couldnt, and it hurt me to see him like that. i miss him so much. he deserved better. i feel guilty because maybe if i had checked up on him earlier that day he would still be here, or if we could have taken him to the er. he deserved better than me. he's been my baby for 8 years, and he will still always be in my heart. i love him so much. im so heartbroken.

the first picture is of him from 2013, and on the second is from his last day </3

rest in peace roosie

Hi there, I’m so sorry for your loss

Almost a year ago I had to put down my little buddy of 15 years, and I still miss him. The first couple weeks after was really hard, but nowadays I just reminisce occasionally about his funny quirks or stories. I know it’s hard right now, but just hang in there and it’ll get easier :)

I absolutely wouldn’t feel guilty either, if his kidneys were failing I have a feeling that the recommendation would have been the same, but you got to spend another day with him instead. Stay strong! <3

Oh my im so stressed its only been 24 hour now since I had my new 8 week old staffy puppy home and I forgot the amount of work it was haveing a puppy but this is my first time doing it alone. Only in the last hour I got him to sleep and I had only 1 hour sleep and I cant think stright. I understand is very hard for a new puppy to pine for is mother and in this case his dad. I cryed so much and the stress so so silly. However I love him and hopefully I see him more relaxed and more happy. :)
