@Human Rayla - OMG He's an adorable Woody!

@Cardinal - Aw, and I esp love the deer costume. I've seen it done online but never had a dog that color.

I didn't dress Chloe up. Was going to go to some Halloween events but it sadly didn't happen. I did finally find and put her Halloween collar on her at least.

The weather turned horrible tonight (wind, rain, lightning) so we online got 7 Trick-or-Treaters :( Chloe did good. I put her harness and leash on and mom picked her up so she could go to the door and be nosy. Keeps her from barking, but she didn't bark much anyway. Mostly she just barked a few times when my parents came in from outside wearing hoodies. She's always had a thing about people besides me wearing hoodies. Not a big deal though, and considering her eyesight in the left eye has clearly gotten worse I'd say she did pretty well. She usually does.

Does anyone have thoughts on Rawhide bones?
A lot of people are recommending them to me but I've heard really bad things about them and so I looked it up and saw a mix of answers...

Also, I read an article last night about how peanut butter is bad for dogs because it contains 3 ingredients that is really bad for the dog... is this true? I have been giving my golden retriever peanut butter in kong toys since we got him!

Would never give a dog rawhide. Its a lot of chemicals that go into it along with it can cause bowel obstructions. There are a few videos out that show you the process of how it's made also.

as for peanut butter, the main issue is the artificial sweetener Xylitol , which is toxic to dogs, as long as it doesn't have that as an ingredient it isn't too much of a issue in moderation. Peanut butter can be used as a treat etc but I wouldn't recommend a ton of it because it does have sugar in it unless you go the natural peanut butter route.

@ Halloween pics....they are so cute :D this baby deer was really fun and easy things for this fur colour^_^

@ MARPLESHADE
i did not mean anything bad with what i did write, just asked if it would be not better to tell someone, that this is wrong behavior and should not be accepted....and from what you did write it did sound as if you just did go without telling anyone and when it was the police. Your parents could do this for you too when you are a child ;) it is not your fault that there is succh a mean person or you could not do much on your own, when you already told your parents. And yes it is good to always look and ask around bevor one gives a dog or pet somewhere for some days! for the Girl o my parents they did look or weeks ^^
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!

Thank you both for your help c:
I have never gave my dogs rawhide because I always heard it was bad and could get caught in their intestines and such, but some fellow dog owners I know are saying its fine so I wanted to double check just to make sure lol :)
Also, Luzien, I know you weren't trying to be mean or anything, just trying to help out. Thank you for your input c:

This is what I read about Peanut butter being bad for dogs...

Most Peanut Butter Contains Aflatoxins (Which Cause Cancer)
Most Peanut Butter Often Contains Harmful Fats.
Most Peanut Butter Contains Sugar.

That's why I asked about it c:

I'm not a fan of rawhide for the reasons stated. You can minimize risk by cutting off the soft bits before the dog can swallow them. I personally prefer things that are digestible like bully/tremenda sticks, duck feet, etc.

Yes, as long as the peanut butter is Xylitol free it should be okay. Just make sure to always check ingredients because manufactures will change things without you realizing. Also you have to take into account your individual dog. If it was on a low sodium diet for example you'd have to be cautious because peanut butter usually contains salt. You could also learn to make your own peanut butter.

Thank you so much! I give Mazie an occasional bully stick when we are camping and such, never tried duck feet before though! May have to give it a try since peanut butter is gonna be so much work!

Any tips for getting your pup to come? Like, she will come at home in our fenced back yard and such but at puppy class she wont even look at me and I have her favorite treats in hand :/ Im just so confused?! Maybe its because of all the other dog smells? But it makes me nervous to take her anywhere because if she gets loose or something and wont come back.... that could be really dangerous...

She's most likely overwhelmed and more interested in the area around her. You'd need a higher value treat only used for puppy classes. I would also suggest working on come outside the home in an environment with lesser or similar distractions as puppy class. Always work with a long lead before trying off-leash come and stay commands.

I use chicken pieces as treats for come only at puppy classes...
I will try working on it other places though, that may help c:
I still don't take her outside without a leash on after 6 months of having her... at this point I'm wondering if I ever will!
