I want to make sure everyone who leaves their dog with someone while you are away, whether it be a friend or kennel, is very positive they wont hurt your dog. A employee who recently quit her job was beating the customer dogs at a local kennel. I know her on a more personal level and she seems to be one of the nicest people and she owns a few of her own dogs. But she has said to me before "I cant wait for the owners to leave so I can beat the dog" then I mentioned a trip I am taking and she offered to watch Mazie (my Aussie pup) and I was like "yeah, she's never been beat and never will be." Like I said, she has quit her job, but I'm sure she's not the only one out there. So just take a lot of precaution when leaving your dog anywhere. c:

Oh my gosh Im SO SO excited! I have a training session scheduled for Sunday morning and its my first in a lloonngg while so Im a bit rusty. I love the dog, a standard poodle mix, and shes a blast! Her names Abby. Pretty typical high energy dog that needs something fun to do, honestly. She pulls on her prong collar like a freight train (oof), is very easily gets amped up over small critters/other dogs/people both inside and outside the home and is being described as 'aggressive' but having met her several times I picked up over arousal and not aggression ssooo we shall see, barking at the door/jumping on people.. Aanndd door darting.

Ultimate goals the owner wants acheived is walking nicely on prong (Not my dog, not my choice. Would like to phase it out if they are willing, but I am familiar and know how to properly fit and use), greeting people coming into the home more politely, and dealling with the door dashing.

Did I say I was excciitteedd??? Sunday will just be chatting about training, going over and properly fitting equipment (so help me if they have a flexi lead), running Abby into the ground to blow off steam, some introduction foundation puppy zen/leave it/impulse control, and ending with a short walk. So really just a huge well structured play session 😂 Well structured being the key. Impulse control is SO important!

I just find it a bit odd, I guess, that an adult dog that lives in the house isnt.. Shown to behave a certain way? Not robbed of their personality and fun just.. Idk.. Taught time and place. My friends joke that I run a tight ship with my dogs but I just consider jumping on people and being a rude dog as unacceptable from puppyhood 💁 We started impluse control with Sentry on day one and there are certain things he has to do and tolerate when I know he'd rather not (walk nicely, bring me stuff he picks up, be groomed). I do understand that sometimes life gets in the way or you get a dog you werent expecting and Im glad and excited they reached out to me.

Speaking on my Bad Dog Sentry we have started on competition style heel work and stays at a distance.. We're up to about a 100ft sit/stays <3 Meanwhile last night he got the mega zoomies and bit the crud out of me several times.. He thought it was the best game.. I was big mad 🤦He also like to grab my hand and gator roll with it. Hell beast.
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

She told you this and you didn't tell her work or anything? I work at a daycare/boarding/grooming/vet place (we offer all services; it's a big facility spanning a few buildings) and this is taken very seriously. This stuff isn't tolerated and I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't "quit" but was fired / thrown out on her butt.
You need to go to her place of work and tell them what she did and said / voice concern that other staff might be doing it. This is alarming and very, very serious. The fact that you didn't speak out before about this is upsetting to me. If she's out here beating other peoples' dogs then she should be barred from working in the pet industry ever again, full stop. Ultimately there's no controlling how she treats her own animals, but you never *ever* put your hands on another person's animal.

The owner knows that she did that and she was trained by the owner so I don't know if the owner does it as well or not. She was the only employee besides the worker. The reason I brought this up is because I too don't think this is any way to treat a dog, let alone someone else's! Also, I am a kid, I can't really contact the owner or do much. (Ive done what I can and told my parents what I was told) I'm sorry that I cant do anything more but I don't want this put at me, its not my fault. :( I know that this is really awful, that's why I wanted to bring it to other's attention for their dog's safety. I wouldn't want to make the mistake of bringing Mazie to a place that does that...
