do you guys know if petfinder.com is reliable?

Petfinder.com is just a way for shelters and rescues to showcase their pets on one site that is easy for people to search. So it will very based on which rescue/shelter you contact. Personally I love Petfinder, and found Chloe through there. Keep in mind though that many animals through those same shelters/rescues may get adopted before even going up on Petfinder. So I'd recommend you consider contacting shelters/rescues that are near you whom you feel comfortable dealing with and see if they have a wait list. Sometimes in addition to wait list for specific breeds/ages/etc. they will be willing to contact you when a dog matching what you're looking for in general comes in. Also many will allow you to apply so that you can be pre-approved and get first shot at adopting new arrivals.

hey guys! I don't know if I'm doing this right or not so if I'm not I'm so s sorry! I have a Staffie (Staffordshire bullterrier) and recently she has been obsessively biting her claws and licking her paw to the point where the skin is all red? (same on her under belly too) I've tried changing her food and bedding etc, but now I've had to put her in a cone of shame to stop it. shes healing well and all but I have no clue how it started?

You need to take her to a vet to determine what's going on.

Did your vet have a look at her? maybe her claw or fur has something or she is sick or something running around the fur or just dirty...

Skin or fur is itching, did you change her food or grooming maybe a good bath and grooming can help, ask your groomer if they got something that help and then use it as often as they tell you is needed and when it does help....or is there a new person i your home, new things and so on ?

what do you do with your dog each day and how long and do you change what you do to make it more interesting or fun, and teach her new things, is she alone a lot of time?
is she fixed or not?

the cone will often only elp for this time but without she can do it again...

I know they don't like him because they will make subtle comments, as if addressing the other students. I sat in the front for the first four days of school and was unsurprised to see Justin was not fazed by anything going on. He very rarely loses focus.
I don't know what I would say to the principal as I have confronted her twice as well as my guidance counselor and the school psychologist.

You'll need to document and keep going up the chain until something is done unfortunately. Sit where you need to sit, let the teachers know you need to sit there and not be secluded to the back of the class. record the class if you have to do document them making you go to the back. be respectful and just continue to go up until something is done. if the prinicipal isn't taking action, go above them to the school board as this is an issue shouldn't be allowed. Keep adamant about the issue until someone does something.

I would go to the supervisor of the school system. If that doesn't work, find a place to file a complaint about not adhering to ADA laws and not being inclusive to students.

As other did say and maybe Show something like this to the People like your teacher and so on, and find help from the right places, they will talk with those in your School.

Ugh, I was so excited. I thought this was the year I'd finally get to take Chloe to the one pumpkin patch near use that allows dogs. Nope! Turns out this year they stopped allow dog for insurance reasons. I could cry, I was so looking forward to that. The big craft show near us that was the main reason I wanted the dog stroller also no longer allows dogs in the main area. :(

@hey-hazel

Sounds like bacterial infection on her skin to me. Try Jax n Daisy shampoo on her, it's supposed to work WONDERS for that kind of thing.

-----

No walk tonight. Husband has to go to bed earlier on Thursdays and Fridays and I'm not comfortable taking the dogs at night alone. So we'll pick it back up on Saturday night! If the weather is decent (it likely won't be) I may even take them along with our toddler during the day tomorrow

@Shadow~Wolf

Awesome improvement with your Lucky!

-------------

Took Lucky for a walk with the toddler in the stroller. It's over 90 degrees out still so it was awful but we only went down the street and back this time so we got it done. Wendy didn't go because it was hard enough juggling one dog and a stroller.

Here's what we're starting with for Lucky. As you can see he is quite rotund.

(Second pic is from like March? And he wasn't brushed)

He's gonna look weird when he loses weight, though, because he has a lot of loose skin. I think because he is likely part chow

Took tiny demon puppy to a oktoberfest last night and he made me very proud! Kept a nice loose leash, focused on me, sat politely for petting or when I was shopping, just all around killed it for such a young puppy! He got some turkey leg as a reward.
