Buuut I really shouldn't be buying anything light related until I know what disaster state my tank actually is in (in 3,5 weeks woop). : P

I'd want to, but currently technically no. It's just that some of my plants don't agree with their labeled requirements... ^^; I have 128 liter tank with 2x18W T8 lights currently (which is quite little). While some plants grow decently, some basics like swords just won't thrive and barely stay alive (basically anything with leaves in the bottom third of my tank struggles) and anubias I had couple years back ended up rotting away after it was totally fine for year or two (it even had flowers). My tank is really weird to be honest when it comes to plants, and fish. The main reason for light upgrade is that I reaaally want Hydrocotyle tripartita in my tank, which I've tried it couple times and it never survives. First I had it without CO2 and again with DIY CO2, but still died. So my conclusion is that it would need more light, as it definetly has nutrients.
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

My brother’s tank got overrun by them. I would recommend a mystery snail or two since they lay their eggs above the waterline and are easy to spot. Unless you want a snail tank!
Also people say as long as you keep their food under control their population will stay under control, but I’m not sure about that.

i have one! her name is jessica.
when she was in my 10 gallon, and she ate less, she layed eggs EVERYWHERE.
now she's in a heavily planted 5 gallon and gets lots of food.... and no eggs at all.
the eggs will never be fertile unless you have more than one nerite. they are just a pain to scrape off.
edit; i have had 4 mystery snails in the past and would not recommend them. they have more specific dietary needs and have a huge bioload. they leave slime and poop everywhere. but they don't lay eggs ;)

The thing with Nerite eggs is that even if they are layed they won't hatch without brackish water. So in normal fresh water they won't hatch.
