I'll say hunters because I don't think forest are being destroyed enough so they'll get extinct, but who knows? (at least I don't know :P)

I don't want to bring up any fights, and I'm really sorry if I'm off-topic, but I once met this boy who was so into wolf-hunting, I think he would've annoyed the hunters themselves! Anyways, what he said at least 5 times a day was, "I hate wolves! What do they do for us other than **** in our woods and howl annoyingly at night! Without wolves, we could tear down the stupid forests and build a bunch of new malls!" When I heard that, I was like, !

OK, so it seems like this story means nothing, but I'm using it as a warning for those wolf-hunting-supporters (though I highly doubt they'd join this club ) ; If I seem overly-sensitive about wolf huntering, it's probably because he was the first wolf-hunting-supporter I had ever known, and as you can see... Not a nice guy!

Hm, currently? Seeing as some states have recently created wolf hunting seasons, I'd probably say both, for now. But when wolf hunting is permitted in more and more states, then hunting will probably be the reason.

However, hunting is beneficial because it keeps populations in check. If we had, say, 500 wolves, and not enough food to feed them, then naturally the wolves who couldn't get enough food would probably start preying upon humans and livestock. Hunting would help keep the population down- although I don't support it, I suppose it is necessary in order to prevent overpopulation. If too many wolves were allowed to live, the amount of their natural prey would decrease drastically and I wouldn't be surprised to see a sudden rise in the amount of livestock kills. After all, they have to eat something.

Now, if humans didn't hunt deer, then there probably would be enough deer for all the wolves, but humans do compete with other predators for deer.

I feel like I'm talking in circles XD my rambling makes no sense...
