Ol Roy actually has a new food called Pure Beyond you can buy at walmart. Theres nothing to terrible in it and its roughly $1 a lb. Cosco also has some grain-free foods which are cheap and pretty decent.

Fish food.. New Life Spectrem is good. Omega One is some of the best fish food out there.

Did a quick search and I have to say.. The UK has like no good dog foods. D: I'd go for Orijen or Acana if you can afford it. :/ Lilys Kitchen doesn't look to bad.

Cardinal (or Link), on the offchance that I wouldn't be able to feed raw like I want to my future dog, I need help deciding which food would be better... EVO or Orijen? With their cat food I didn't see a big enough difference to go off of EVO and onto Orijen or Acana, but is it the same for dog food?

I personally really like Orijen. I think a lot of it for me is they have a cruelty free stance and try to use fresh foods from local sources.

Evo on the other hand, while an amazing food, had a law-suit for not using human grade meats (if I remember right, can probably find it) and has also been bought out by the makers of IAMs, although there hasn't been any food changes to reflect that to my knowledge.

Honestly it comes down to personal preferences. They are both awesome and top foods, one isn't /really/ better than the other.

Personally, when Okami was still on kibble, I had never tried Evo or Orijen, so I dunno much about them.

I did however have her on Merrick and Fromm, both of which I really liked and highly recommend. I personally liked Fromm better, but Merrick is still really good too, both had lots of flavor varieties. Only problem is that they are both brands that are a bit harder to find. Normally you have to go to a holistic pet food place (the place I had to go to get Fromm was almost 45 mins away from me).

I know the ingredients in it aren't the best, but I've found my dogs do the best on Purina One Beyond. Their coats are shiny and soft, even my wire hair! Their eyes are bright and shiny with no discharge or anything. I can say I'm shocked, simply because they're on a Purina food. They're doing even better on this than they ever did on Blue Buffalo, and I can't help but wonder why.

Higher meat content, most likely. On a dry matter biases, Purina One Beyond has 30% protein and (not sure that blue you were feeding, but I'm using the normal) while BB has 27%. Not a huge difference, but a difference none-the-less. Its been speculated that the meat content reflects the protein. If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. Generally the quality of the food goes by the meat content and how many fillers there are in the food. High-er quality foods have.. higher protein. :D
