Thanks! :3
It just depends. If they study wolves to help them survive or something like that, that will NOT hurt the animal, and they'll be returned to their original habitats, then yes. But if they want to experiment with lots of poisonus chemicals to change them into things they are not and test on odd substances ...then of course not. But as Xantie said, if the goverment says they can, you can't stop them.
But's that's just my opinion. :3

We already had a similar topic :s
On the 'taking wolves out of the wild to study' topic, yes, I think it's fine.
Scientists don't go 'Eh, I'm bored, let's pluck a few wolf mutts outta that forest out back and drag 'em to our lab. How about we toss a few dangerous chemicals on 'em while we're at it?' on a random Sunday evening.
They can't always study wolves in captivity for things they're researching; what if there was an outbreak among a big population? They would need to find the cause of the problem, and the best way to do that is studying one of the wolves from the infected area.

How does everyone feel about breeding wolves with dogs? To make wolf hybrids?
Well...many people say the dogs are a novelty but very difficult to take care of.
However, as an exception, one of my neighbors has a dog which is a mix between Husky, German Shepherd, and Wolf. And her dog is one of the most gentle dogs I have ever seen- the dog prefer human company to dogs and supposedly as a pup would try to break up fights between other dogs. Perhaps its the German Shepherd blood- anyway, the dog looks very much like a wolf.
I'd love to get a wolf hybrid like the one my neighbor has. But...it's rare, I suppose. And ... just wondering, do they take random wolves or do they keep tame ones for breeding with dogs?
