      I got my gecko!
I decided to name him Calypso, Cal for short.
Right now, he's in a 10 gal but I plan to move him to a 20 gal once he's big enough.
I need help identifying his morph, can anyone help?

a bit too young to tell the exact morph. needs to be at least 6-8 months to actually tell. But looks like a normal or hypo

Woooooow, it has been a long time since I posted here or been on CS in general. I guess I should give an update because a lot has changed with my reptile collection. I got rid of a lot and I mean a lot of reptiles and have gotten some new ones. I rehomed my Savanah monitor [fire drake] he just wasn't happy in the room we had for him [It was the smallest guest bedroom we had] I had a friend that had lost his savannah monitor and had a bigger guest room she used for hers so I and he talked and he said he would take firedrake. [We did a very slow process of rehoming firedrake to keep him from being stressed] about 2 weeks later he [firedrake] was staying with him 24/7 I still see and check up on him he's much happier now. I sold all my ball pythons to an amazing home. It was about a week later my friend couldn't keep her non-morph ball python so I took her in her name is Penelope she is a great eater and loves to explore Penelope also love to be handled she's a very sweet snake. I rehomed all my geckos a family-friend loves geckos and was looking to expand his collection I told him I was planning on rehoming all my geckos and that if he wanted them he could have them. [I know him personally so I knew I could trust him he is also a vet-tech] I also sold the skink trio to amazing homes. The panther chameleon [pink panther] I had to put him down he developed a lump on his leg and it was preventing him from walking I made that tough decision to put him down. I rehomed my other snakes. [boa constrictor, green tree python, hognose, and my Mexican black kingsnake]

Basically, I rehomed or sold all my animals there was just too many of them and they weren't mine, to begin with [exept for firedrake and my chameloen] With Firedrake it was the hardest decision I had to make because I loved him so much but he just wasn't happy he stopped eating and drinking now that he is with my friend firedrake is eating and drinking again so I know I made the right decision.

I also really don't like crazy morphs I like the original because you would see those in the wild. I'm going to be getting a bearded dragon soon [In January] Its a reptile I have always wanted but couldn't get because I had 22 reptiles. I now know my limit is 10 reptiles at a time I think I'm mainly going to stick with lizards. I know many will judge me for this I know my siblings who use to own the reptiles before dumping them all on me aren't happy.

I don't think I've ever posted here? Or if I have, it was a while ago. Anyway, I just felt the need to share a picture of my leopard gecko I took around Halloween. He's such a ham, he winked for the picture.
Image
I'm planning on upgrading his setup pretty soon here. He's already in a 20 gallon, but I was thinking about getting a 30 gallon and some more interesting hides and decor. Other than Chewy, does anyone know of any good websites to buy hides and such from? And does anyone have any recommendations on substrate? I don't want to get any kind of loose sand or anything like that, but any other suggestions are fine. I've just got him on paper towels for now. I used to have some of that repti-carpet, but it got kinda gross after a while and I can't afford to be replacing it every other month.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Losing a pet is never easy. If it makes you feel better, I think that rehoming them may have been the right thing. It sounds like you put your pets first which not a lot of people do.

I appreciate it thank you it was very hard after PP died thats when I started rehoming and selling a lot of the reptiles. Yeah, it was the best decision as I did put them first in front of my personal life. I also felt I couldn't sell or rehome them at the time because they were originally my brothers and sisters pets. Well, except for firedrake and pink panther they were my original animals. It finally got to a point where I was paying for everything and when my brothers and sister came to visit when I would tell them not to do something with the reptiles they would do it anyway and always say I bought them so I can do whatever I want. So finally I talked to my parents and they told me they GAVE them to you which makes you the new owner you are legally allowed to do what you want with them. [NOT ILLEGAL STUFF] Even though it was hard it was the best decision I could make for their sake. Sorry for rambling on and on I do this a lot when writing lol.

About a couple of days ago i got a new snake. When i got him he was shedding,
but now his shed is stuck all down his back and possibly around his face. I've tried
putting him into some warm water to make it soft, but nothing worked. He has a little
humidity box that he never goes in. I have tried to introduce him too it, but nothing.
I just need a little bit off help.

Congrats on your new little buddy! Do you know what morph he is? He's very pretty.

Here's a caresheet by a community of well trusted and very experienced keepers and breeders. I can't recommend it enough. You should set up your enclosure based around it.
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthr ... hon-regius)-Caresheet

Ball pythons need a humidity of 50-60 percent constantly, but when in shed they need to have the humidity bumped up to around 70 percent. If the humidity requirements are not met it will lead to stuck sheds. A healthy snake will shed in one piece.

What are you using to measure your humidity/temperatures? What's the humidity in the enclosure? How is the humid hide set up?

Assuming you have a correct setup and correct husbandry, which you should if you follow that caresheet, here's a step by step on how to remove stuck shed
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthr ... Stuck+shed

Good luck!

Hello! I'm a first-time reptile owner. I have two crested geckos that I got as babies from a breeder. They are almost a year old now and they seem to be quite small still. They are separate and I provide them fresh CGD every day in the same spot. They eat a bit of that every other day. I've tried feeding them crickets to boost their growth but couldn't get them to eat any no matter what I did. Thoughts?
