^ I shower with all of my dogs except for Persy. She has to be bathed in the tub by herself otherwise she won't tolerate it and will likely hop out of the tub and get water everywhere.

I do it one by one of course, and all on separate dates lol. They're pretty good in the shower. Jasper showers with me just because it's better for our bond and he really doesn't mind it aha (he obviously doesn't shower with me everyday lmao. That's kind of weird). Sam showers with me because she'd jump out of the tub otherwise - the same with Aspen. My dogs are fairly clean - unless we've just gotten back from a hike in the river valley in the springtime...lots of mud - so there isn't really any dirt or gunk that comes off. All the dog hair that gets on me just washes off. After I've washed the dog, I shower like usual and the dog just sits in the corner of the tub until I'm done lol. They don't seem to really mind it honestly. And then afterwards I wrap them in a towel and give them a good brush, followed by a treat. Sam really likes to roll around after getting her fur wet in an attempt to dry herself, but it ends up getting water everywhere, so I have to be sure to put a towel on her right away after stepping out.

mr. cool & handsome guy's new passion is doing bar jumps, he's finally found a new favorite thing aside from opening doors for me. kinda want to actually get into doing some (non competitive) agility stuff with him, i'm almost clueless when it comes to it all though, but we'll figure it out. i think i'll get some actual better equiptment when we move this year, he'll enjoy it.

also, he went on his first big outing with a head halter! we've worked with them at home, i took it off half-way through because i don't want to push him, but he was near perfect, it doesn't bother him. after doing some more training to get him completely used to it, we probably won't use one often, only if he's having a bit of an off day and it'd help us out. i'm really proud of him for doing so well.

I’ve showered with Loki. He just sits there in the corner and enjoys it. He doesn’t even try to run. When I actually bath him he seems to like showers way more than the bath unless he can have his head in my lap.

Here's a random picture of my dog who passed away three years ago. She had four brothers and is the puppy above. Emmy never had any puppies on her own. <3

My therapist is looking into getting me set up with a service dog. Has anyone had experience?
I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Attack Disorder, along with depression, but the dog would help me mostly with my anxiety.

I have experience with an Emotional Support Animal and have done a lot of research on Service Dogs. There are plenty of people on here who have experience with service dogs and are always happy to help. Do you have any questions in particular?

Question; How old until you can start bringing your puppy to the groomer? He has a little mat under his jaw that would be awkward to try and comb... not sure if he already had that before we got him or I just missed cleaning up a spot after brushing his teeth one night and it matted that way.

He is 14 weeks old male yorkie with one round of shots. He gets his 2nd round of shots around the 12th of this month if it matters.

eleutheromania wrote:Maybe nature’s recipe? It’s not a bad food. We fed it to the boys before feeding Fromm. Maybe Instinct if it’s not too pricy also. Both I know are sold at major pet chain stores.

Just wanted to say thank you! I got nature's recipe and he is crazy about it. Can't wait until he's fully transitioned to it. I think I'll actually be able to use his kibble as treats instead of using actual treats. The small bites are perfect to unlike his old food. I'll switch him to Fromm eventually but I think this is good for now. :)

i plan on getting a dog to do personal protection with when i move out and can afford it. what are your breed recommendations? im leaning towards either a malinois or tervuren. im looking for a dog that is protective when it needs to be but also friendly (wont just go after everyone), is easy to train and good with other dogs. i would probably take them on hikes and of course theyd do different dog sports.
