Are... are... you serious?

It's not a island?! *Dies in a corner and cries* ALL MY LIFE HAS BEEN ONE GIANT LIEEEEE!

Oh. And I am extremely 'ticked' right now. So... yep, I have to go. I will rant you out in the mourning for saying that hunting is not 'so bad'.

Because killing innocent creatures is fine.

Yep.

No problem there :)

-___- (Super evil glare wishing I could say and explain with a page long of yelling but I must be off...)

LOL, JK, I won't yell... But I am so mad I am going off this website just to go somewhere private so I can cuss at the sky like a maniac, hence, I am one, probably stab a orange, or perhaps a mango if I'm really THAT angry, kill my Iphone for being stupid, quit Chickensmoothie, give away pets, rejoin, get back pets, quit again and declare it final, rejoin and read your post once more before repeating all of the above steps.

If that tells you anything about how I am feeling.

Right.

Now.

I myself don't know what I think about hunting. I'm kind of split. I of course hate any kind of hunting that puts the animal in any kind of pain, or those stupid "Wolf hunting Vacation!"s and stuff like that. I don't mind if it's an experienced hunter that doesn't want to hurt the animal. <---- That probably sounds pretty stupid.

@ Poke

Ahaha, first, my brother just looked at what I was writing, whispered creepily in my ear after reading your signature, "I am a jewish gay outcast in case she was wondering." And then ran away.

So, that was pretty weird, considering our whole family is christian, goes to a christian church, and he has a girlfriend named Annabelle, and he's the "heart-throb" of the whole entire school/

Weeiirrrdd...

Anyway, yeah, it's pretty hard to choose. But I don't see why people hunt. Is it fun to kill? I don't know. I don't care. As long as they don't misuse the hunting like some people do, there is no problem, though I wish it wasn't so... I agree in some ways :)

First of all, Thunder, IF the whole wolf species were to be wiped out (which is possible, but unlikley) It WOULD cause annihilation of the earth and the living things around it.
But. Thunder, as seeming it you being one of the younger members of CS I can put this sort of simple;

Grass -> Deer -> Wolf -> Fungi, or maybe some other decomposer.

In this case, if wolves were to be extinct it would go somewhat like this.

Grass -> Deer -> Fungi.

But of course this is only with humans out of the equation.

If there were no wolves, that means the deer population, and whatever else it eats, will go up. if this population goes up, There would be less grass, and trees to eat for the herbivores/omnivores. This means Once there is enough deer/ or whatever else the wolves eat that are herbivores/omnivores, They will all start to die of Starvation/lack of food. This also goes (sort of) for water as well. This Cycle is called "Spiking and Crashing" This ''spiking and crashing'' is the worst thing that would happen to the ecosystem/habitat/whatever else there could be. This means, If wolves were wiped from the earth, The deer population will go up, meaning not enough food for all the deer/whatever. If this happens, there will be a Crash, meaning the population will go down quickly and the deer will die off, possibly meaning the WHOLE population of deer.

This is bad for the planet, Because eventually because of the wolves AND deer wiped from earth, This will cause a Chain Reaction in the ecosystems near, and far. Eventually, this leads to world annihilation.

So, hunting is both good and bad.

Also seeing you are a younger member, I can see you only want best for each animal individual. It would be good if we could stop hunting and somehow keep the wolf population under control but, unfortunately it never works that way, and the world doesn't work that way.

I hope this is somewhat of an easier thing for you to understand by.

Also for something to add in there;;
These wolves will to adapt to any environment if necessary to survive. This is sort of like the Bull sharks.
Bull sharks of one of the most aggressive shark in the world, and USED to only live in Salt Water. These Bull sharks have migrated to the Mississippi, more south, working north.

This is sort of what wolves would do, if they find their habitat, very VERY insecure. Meaning if they feel they are unsafe, even hidden in their own homes, they will migrate. This is very true.

Yes, they are innocent, but these wolves NEED to be controlled with their population, or this very thing can happen. Sorry, but it's the way life works. You think millions of innocent deer/elk/moose/whatever want to be killed? Do you want to be killed? All populations on earth, even the human population on earth HAS to be CONTROLLED.

right now the earth has 7 billion people walking the grounds. SEVEN BILLION. That's a crap load of people, man.
If, we were all to stand shoulder to shoulder, we can all fit in California.

Thing about it, If the world gets to where there are so many people, we can stand shoulder to shoulder and fill the US in, that's bad. There would be barley any food for all of us to think. And think, we'd all probably be living like the Third world countries. Drinking dirty water, eating uncooked animals. This is not how we want to end up. Ever since humans have figured out how to save themselves, Our population has gone OUT OF CONTROL. The earth was only designed to support one to two billion people. Look how far our population has gone. Pretty soon, What I explained earlier will happen to US world.

Think about this -
We Are Spiking.
Every Spike, ends with a Crash.
The human population will crash soon, because we are spiking.
So do you want that for the wolves, now too?
it's already happening to us.

(Sorry this sort of got off topic, but maybe this may prove my point? x3)

It wouldn't cause the end of the world, for say, but as said quite a lot of damage to the natural food webs. Populations of critters hunted by wolves would overwhelm their natural habitat. Take a rabbit, for example. With no wolves to hunt them to keep their populations down, they would overrun whatever area they're in, eat everything that could possibly sustain them and other rodents // critters that ate what they did, and possibly kill off everything in that area // lower the species population greatly.. Know the saying "For every action there is a opposite reaction"? It's like that.

I agree with Poke-. I don't exactly like hunting, or the slogans about hunting wolves, but if the hunter knows what he's [Or she's] doing, kills the wolf fast, and uses most of the body, not just the fur, I'm alright. Oh, and I'm completely against the hunting of endangered wolves, and aerial hunting. I despise the killing of pups or a pair raising pups. If the mother is killed, the pups wouldn't be able to feed from her [If they were not weaned] and then they would surely starve to death. If they killed the father, the mother would have to hunt for herself [And the pups if they were weaned] and there for leave her pups vulnerable for predator attack.

Oh, and even though it's already been stated, Florida is not an Island but a peninsula, a slice of land surrounded on all sides but one which connects it to the "Mainland"

Fairwell Chickensmoothie! It was a good run.

If there is anyone who I unfortunately left any loose ends open with when I originally disappeared from the site near the end of 2012, you're welcome to drop a PM if you'd like to try to resolve them. It has admittedly been far too many years for me to remember precisely what all may have been left unsettled.

In addition, if anyone sees this and would like to try to reestablish contact, you're more than welcome to drop me a message as well. I'll try to poke my head in over the next few months at the least in case any of the above happens, but cannot guarantee how often messages will be checked after that.

Best Regards,
HOWLING

Mmm. So you assume I am a younger member? Off topic - No. I am immature and have ADHD but I am old enough to make my own opinions, and I have mine. I find yours to thought out and much to complicated. Maybe it's because I'm just a idiot, which I doubt being I am in Math Team, where only six people are selected to join, MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Academics), and have never gotten a C or below in my entire life. Maybe it's because I have my ADHD and I can not understand a word of it. Or maybe I'm just stating my opinion: That I find yours highly unlikely and childish. I never, ever said hunting should stop completely. I wish. It can't though. It would be unbalanced. So, please stop talking to me like I am a five year old, I get that already in real life by adults. I'm not stupid, and I am not a little kid. You have offended me, and you were quite rude in your first post where you ended like the matter was closed. I think you are over confident, snobby, and mean. I am not a child. People need to stop treating me as if I am one. I am Edited Out, in case you were wondering.

Number one; You are not allowed to post your age on CS.
two; Never said you were a child. Just said you SEEMED to be a younger member of CS. I am sorry if I have offended you.
and Three; I have Sever ADHD and severe OCD. I could even understand that. Being ''16'' and being in a science group, as well as math and everything else, I would think you would have been more nicer.
If you want to continue, PM me, this is getting a little too offtopic.

I do NOT want to continue, and excuse me for posting I age. I will edit it out after this post, I was not aware. Seeing that you had ADHD as well, I don't see how you could assume something as frustrating as me being a younger member. If you have experienced it, you should be more sensitive.

Sorry for being Offtopic everyone, I won't be continuing this conversation on this thread nor in PM. The subject is closed, and I am still angry.

Maybe you should think before you speak (or type in this matter...) I am not being mean in anyway, I am being OFFENDED. Greatly. Who are you to judge if I am 'more nicer' or not? I am perfectly nice with people who don't assume I am 'younger' because of my condition.

I am sorry to hear you have OCD as well as ADHD. It is my fault. I should've ended the matter there and then, we are flooding other people's thread. Not good.

My sincere sorry to you all.

I'm sorry I even continued this subject after you replied. I should've stopped. W=

If you don't want to be treated like a child, don't act like one.

...I honestly thought you were at most 12 years old from the way you were posting. Especially your condescending response to .Alois.

Excuse me. I am drooping the matter as I said before. Sorry for angering everyone. I act immature and childish at times due to my ADHD, and I was offended because once again, people assume I am younger in age then I am, and talk to me as if I am a child. I'm very, very sorry if I upset anyone.

I think I am going to leave. This all went off topic and um... yeah. I am sorry.

I really am, Tracy, Blue. I hope you'll put my behavior aside. I admit I was acting like a child.
