Favorite canine species or dog breeds?

For wild, I think the maned wolf is amazing. (and YES this is a wolf. it just looks like a fox... look it up if you don't believe me...)

Actually while Wolves and Maned Wolves are both in the Family Canidae their Genus is completely different. Wolves, dogs, jackals, and the like are in the Genus Canis. Canis coming from the Latin word for dog. Maned Wolves are in their own separate Genus called Chrysocyon. And it's been proven that Maned Wolves are not related to Wolves. If you looked that up then you would know c:


And to make this not spam, I'm very partial to the Ethiopian Wolf (Canis Simensis).

My favorite wild dogs have to be the New Guinea Singing Dog (though they're thought to be extinct in the wild P:) and the coyote.



I can't even decide when it comes to domestics, I like so many. xD Shetland Sheepdogs are pretty far up there, though.

I love japanese dog breeds, akita inu, shiba inu, kai ken, kishu ken, shikoku inu, etc.
Since i have WAYY to many breeds to name off, my fave dog show groups are Sporting, Herding, and Working

I love ALL dogs, i just like some alot better than others. Im not at all fond of poodles, terriers, and alot hounds(the wolfhound...) I just hate their fur, not the dogs themselves

My favorite dog breed would have to be labs. Especially 'fox red' labs, or dark yellow labs, which is the color of my girl Sam. This pic looks almost exactly like her!

For wild ones, my favorites are wolves(Timber and Tundra specifically), Dholes, African Wild Dogs, and Dingos(though they are domesticated in some places)

for wild: wolves becuase 99.9% of all domestic dogs are desendents from wolves
