My housemate and I have been talking for a while about adopting a second kitty this year, and have started browsing our local listings on Petfinder. 🥰 I've sent a few inquiries already, including one for what appears to be a cute lil albino kiddo!

I'm excited! 😍 Hoping to find a baby that likes to cuddle!

I've generally heard a sudden change in litter habits like that are usually a case of some sort of discomfort. It could be the litter irritating her nether regions when she urinates, so you could try using different litters. 🤷‍♀️ (I know there's a number of different materials besides the usual clay/clumping, like recycled newspaper, different kinds of wood and fiber, etc.) She could be experiencing discomfort from something else, like creaky old bones becoming arthritic. I know you said she tested negative for a UTI, but idk if you did any testing for crystals or stones or anything? Kitties can have many complications with their urinary tract!

I would recommend a lid or placing something over the hamper to discourage her, and maybe pick up any stray clothes or blankets lying around elsewhere in case she decides to switch targets. Others have chimed in that there are detergents to get rid of the smell which could help!

I would encourage trying to be patient with her. Elderly cats are Something Else lol.

What’s a cat’s body temperature supposed to be? And what’s in dangerous territory for them? Because my cat (a sphynx) is constantly really hot upon touching her, and sometimes I’m scared something will stop functioning because of it.

If you are worried about the health of your cat, you need to take them to the vet. No one through the internet can take their temperature for you, nor would I recommend doing it if you haven't been shown how to do it.

The normal body temperature for cats is a bit higher than it is for humans (specific numbers vary, but I'm seeing between 99-102.5F / 37.2-39.2C), so its normal for them to feel warm to the touch. Their skin temperature can also depend on the environment they are in, just like for humans, but theres other signs you can watch out for, which might point to something being wrong:

Watch for these signs of a fever:

• Loss of appetite.
• Depression.
• Lack of energy or activity.
• Decreased drinking.
• Hiding.
• Decreased grooming.
• Shivering or rapid breathing.

But again, if you are concerned about your cats health, take them to the vet as soon as possible.

my cat stole my rock pretty much <//3

SO LIKE i went on a walk today, i collected 3 new rocks on my walk and i dont know why but my cat started rubbing her cheek on one of them .. like she was marking it as her territory ??
maybe it was a new smell since like .. she also sniffed me and did the same thing to my hand but ??

She's trying to mark you and the rocks with her scent so all the other cats know to stay away, and maybe to get rid of any other weird scents. Basically just saying "welcome home, you're still mine!"

Just yesterday I adopted a new cat, I named her Eevee. She's a 3 year old diluted calico. She seems to love attention, tho hates being picked up lol. She had 6 kittens and they've all been adopted already!

Getting her was a blessing to me since I've been devastated ever since my late cats passing.
