Jerome, that's so cool! My zoo doesn't have any Amur Leopards. I never saw one before.

Ashwyn, I agree completely. You want to save Red Wolves? Great. Awesome. Go for it. Just don't say that you care about only wolves. I have actually met someone on here that said that they care about only wolves, and then they accused me of caring about only Amur Leopards. Which is incorrect. My main focus will always be on Amur Leopards, but that doesn't mean I don't give a damn about other species. I've supported Northern White Rhinos and many other endangered animal species, not just the Amur Leopard. Heck, i've even supported saving Iberian Wolves, even though many people claim i'm a wolf hater because I support humane hunting of the Grey Wolf in areas where they're overpopulated and consuming all their prey. Grey Wolves are plenty pretty, as are Mountain Lions and Red Foxes, but in areas where they're becoming a threat hunting needs to come in. I would say the same about Amur Leopards if they were to be overpopulated around the world. I don't hate a specific species or breed of animal because I support the humane culling of it.

A fun fact about White Rhinos:
Their 'original' name was Wide rhino, but through traslations and misunderstandings, it has been called white rhino and is now called that.

And, adding onto this, by calling the Rhinoceros a rhino, you are calling it a nose in Latin. Rhinoceros means 'nose horn', rhino meaning nose and ceros meaning horn. That's why I no longer call them rhinos. X3

Back on topic...

A lot of people I know call me a supporter of Lynx deaths, merely because I have a (very) realistic Faux fur hanging up on my wall in my bedroom. I hate people like that, who just assume things because we have things or we support things. I'm not in favor of really any deaths, but if it needs to be done, then alright.

Now, back on topic, the real topic. x3

The cub is named Anastasia, and there's a video of her playing with her mother. There's not much about her, either, but y'know. At least we do know that she exists and the population is being helped, even if it is one at a time.

I was on the phone when I was typing (shortening it :D ) but thought of that.

People have accused you of only caring about Amurs? Wow. And people only supporting one species? How can someone say that? Wolves and leopards are keystone creatures. By working to save them you're working to save their entire habitat - from the tiniest endangered moss to the biggest deer they see as prey, to the other predators that are their competition.

I can't say I support your views on culling wolves or any other creature. But I totally respect your opinion, and don't think you're a wolf hater at all.

By the way, didn't the Northern White Rhino or one of it's subspecies go extinct a while ago? (The Western Black Rhino has gone totally extinct, which I'm sad about). I support Rhino Conservation in every way I can. Rhinos are very dear to me. If the entire species went extinct, I'd be devastated.

Anastasia! What a wonderful name! Anastasia the Amur Leopard! My congratulations go out to the zoo and the lucky parents. (I totally went a bit off topic there as well, sorry!) Have you seen them at your zoo yet? Are they amazing?

Yes, people have accused me of caring about only Amur Leopard. The thread got deleted, but I quote their words:
"i care about wolves, unlike you people, who care about only stupid amur leopards!"
I believe that me and some other people were telling that person to consider saving animals other than Grey Wolves, and they started to rage since about four people used the Amur Leopard as an example.

As long as you don't spark a fight with me about my views on wolf culling, I respect your opinion as well.

And the Northern White Rhinoceros is a subspecies of the White Rhinoceros, which isn't endangered. The Northern White Rhinoceros is believed to be extinct in the wild, since there were only four individuals left in the world, and since they haven't been seen in quite a while, they are thought to be dead. There are around 12 Northern White Rhinoceroses left in the entire world, assuming the four wild Northern White Rhinoceroses are dead. Those 12 are unfortunately held in captivity.
"Why do you look so sad?" "I'm thinking about the economy"

...Oh, that sick, filthy hypocrite. By the way, I'm guessing that person was a complete and utter wolfaboo. Am I correct?

Oh, and @Silverhart: I didn't get to see the mother or father, but the cub was in the empty Snow leopard exhibit playing with a couple of lion cubs. But, unfortunately, as I was beginning to melt into a puddle of butter from the cuteness, the lions got really rough and they were separated. But, still, to answer your question, she was beautiful and it was in fact amazing. :3

Can I join? In my zoo, 2 new Amur Leopards were born!
The girl you just called fat, she's overdosing on diet pills.
The girl you just called ugly, she spends hours putting makeup on.
The boy you just tripped, He is abused enough at home.
That guy you just made fun of for crying, his mother is dying.
Put this as your siggie if your against bullying.
I bet 95% of you wont re-post this, but i'm sure the people with a heart will.

Don't be racist. Be a panda! Pandas are black, white, and Asian! Spread this around to stop racism!

*Totally had to look up what a 'wolfaboo' was, since I had no idea :) Learned something new today*

Wow! Big cats are so amazing! She was playing with lion cubs? That must've been so cute!!! I haven't been to the zoo in a while. I'll have to go to my local zoo, though I don't think they have any Amurs. I'll have to check though.

Wavey123, that's awesome! Aw, all this news of baby leopards makes me so happy! :) If enough people band together I think this cat has a real chance!

Ifsn, those griffens are awesome! I love them!

And don't worry Frost Bite, I wouldn't start a fight. Fighting with someone just because they have a different view on something is just silly. No one's ever right or wrong on these issuses.

That's sad about the rhinos. We're losing so much diversity. I guess there's a little hope for the rhinos in captivity, if they can breed, and the offspring can be successfully released into the wild, after we stop illegal poaching, of course.
