I finally got around to getting Dixie microchipped the other day and got her city license (since we'd moved back into city limits, I'd been putting it off and putting it off forever). And yay! We found another strip mall to go walking again and working around distractions (ie people, vehicles, etc). And the great thing is there's a Babies R Us there too, so there's even more distractions like baby noises, people cooing etc, and things like strollers. > u < And Christmas decorations are all over the place too, right now. Oh, and there's a grocery at one end so there's all of those smells.
We've gone walking there twice so far, and she did really well. She did shy at a snowman door-stopper holding one of the home decor store's door open, but after passing it a few time and some clicks and treats, and coaxing, she was okay with it.

I cannot get over how beautiful and flippin' adorable Dixie is! She's such a cute petite little thing. :3 And I'm definitely partial to reds, haha.
Does she also do the thing when she sleeps or lays down sometimes where she sticks her front legs out in either direction and resembles kind of a seal from the top? Edgar's done it since puppyhood and I've always been curious as to if it was just him or if it was something common among goldens? Because he's my first Golden and my first retriever in general, so I wouldn't really know from experience haha.

YES! Yes, she does! XD It's hilarious to look at, haha! I probably have photos somewhere, I just have to dig through these 1,800-some-odd photos. I'm not sure if it's a common thing, but it's definitely funny. > u < When she was a puppy, she would mostly either lay like that or lay on her back in this 'weird-uncomfortable-looking' position (often with her head in her empty food bowl).
I was so happy to see those photos of Edgar you posted in the dog thread! ^^ It's been a long time!

Dixie's new muzzle came! It's /so/ much better than her other one, in /so/ many ways.

If you ever think her muzzle is too
bland, you can do what my mum did
with Penny Jane's, and wrap colourful
ribbon around the part closest to the
bridge of the nose. I'll try and get a
picture tomorrow, but it looks SO
much more pretty with the happy
ribbon on it! Of course, Dixie is
gorgeous regardless <3 And that
muzzle fits really well!

Ooo, I like that idea! And we could get different ribbons for different occasions. ; w ; I'll have to check out the holiday ribbon at Hobby Lobby. ^^
