thanks for the response!!
He’s definitely not being aggressive so i suppose he could be trying to play? He’ll just be happy watching from afar then stalk and try to pounce. Sonny has the whole upstairs and most of downstairs to himself; the only room Beau is ever in is the kitchen, where sonny has plenty of space to hide including the top of the cabinets where he likes to sit and watch lol. I’ll certainly have a look at Jackson’s channel and website, i’d never thought to do that
Thanks again!

Hello! Has anyone here ever harness and leash trained their cat? I have two kittens, Choux and Cosmo, who I've tried it with over the year. Choux will not tolerate it - she just freezes and freaks out - so I've dropped the training with her, as I don't want her to feel uncomfy. Cosmo on the other hand took to it immediately, and happily runs around the garden with it on.
Now that Cosmo is completely comfortable with the harness and has been for a while, inside and outside, I was wondering if there's a way to teach him to walk with me (like beside me)? I'm perfectly happy to just have him walk where he likes and follow him, but when it comes time to go back inside I'd like to have a way to lead him in, as picking him up isn't exactly his favourite thing.
I know some cats will just never learn or be willing to do something (Choux with the harness, for example) but I'd still like to try c:

Kitten passed away. She's the cat I posted about earlier this month who was diagnosed with FIV and feline leukemia. She was doing better on the medicine the vet prescribed, she perked up, she even started playing again! And then she just crashed. I won't go into details, because I know certain things can be triggering to some people, and I don't want to relive what happened. But she passed, in the middle of the night on the 20th/21st, with all of our family around her. I've been trying to act normal, force myself to do everyday activities, but it hurts. Everything just feels numb, like I'm going through the motions in a haze, like my body's here but my minds not. Does that makes sense? Idk, I just know I'm terrified that my other cats might have it. I don't want to go through this again, I don't want to lose anyone else. It hurts too much 💔

i'm very sorry to hear that ;( the emotions you're
going through are completely normal, i experienced
similar ones after i lost my childhood dog a couple
years back. the pain does get better with time, as
most heartbreaks do, and the painful memories will
be pushed behind the happy ones .
i'm glad you and your family were able to give her love,
especially in her last moments. sometimes animals
are just born into unlucky circumstances and the best
you can do is make their time with you enjoyable <3
as for the other cats, just keep monitoring them &
make sure to love on them extra. i hope none of them
have what the kitten had & wish you and your family
the best.

hello- in december of 2019 i got my first cat (his name is spooky <:-]) and he's pretty much been an indoor/outdoor cat the entire time we've had him. he was 2 years old when we got him and he has a very curious and active personality.
a few days ago he was gone for almost 48 hours and we started to get really worried since he almost always comes home for breakfast and dinner. when he finally showed up he was wrecked. the vets think he was hit by a car.. in addition to other injuries, he has nerve damage that paralyzed his front leg in two places. were lucky he's alive at all. we already spoke to an orthopedic surgeon and they said that his leg will almost definitely have to be amputated from his shoulder down.
do any of you have experience with newly disabled cats? is there anything we can do or that we should know to help him during his recovery period? we definitely wont be letting him outside anymore, at least not without total supervision.

Hi, there!
Try feeding Spooky healthy cat food, train him very carefully, and go online and find ways on how to treat him when he has that problem.
I hope that this helps !!
And that Spooky gets better <3

I've heard that cats can be clumsy while they adjust to a different weight distribution on just 3 legs, so make sure he can't hurt himself or get into any trouble. If there's some higher spots he likes to hang out in (like windowsills) put a chair next to it so that he could have an easier time getting up there. You might also want to look into lower litterboxes for him, to make it easier to get in. Cats really are very adjustable to new situations, so just watch out for any places where he could tumble and fall, get stuck, or otherwise hurt himself.

Now we have to make the "final" decision" ---> WHAT BREED?
Trying to decide between a Maine Coon or a Bengal. I've heard Bengals and Maine coons both aren't very allergy prone.Because Bengals are so active, it's recommended to get them in pairs, so when I'm away at work, they won't tear almost everything apart. I'm learning that Coon's are slightly more relaxed and chilled out, which is a definite plus.
HELP PLEASE
I will always recommend going the rescue/shelter route.
There is no need to purposely bring more cats into the world when shelters already struggle to take care of ones they have. I understand the visual appeal, but mixed breed cats deserve a good home just as much, and they often end up looking even more unique than breed cats do. Also, most cats function better when in pairs/groups, especially if they have a chance to grow up with another cat around the same age.
