Just for comparison, here's my pup when he was on Purina Puppy Chow. Old picture, he's a year old now, but note the eye gunk. He also had dandriff, you can see some on his muzzle if you look closely. In the mornings he would wake up with gunk covering half his eye.

I had a talk with my vet about eye gunk, a little bit is somewhat normal but you shouldn't have to white it everyday and there should be a small bit. It is usually related to food, if not that then eye irritation or something along the lines of a cold.

I'm guessing that the problem with my dog's eye gunk when it was covering half his eyes had to do with his food, because after a few days of Orijen he didn't have any more eye gunk.

I feed my Great Dance mix, Sam, Natural Choice Dry Dog Food, Large Breed Adult, Lamb & Rice Meal.
Does anybody know about that stuff? I wanna make sure it's good for him, I love him to bits <3

Yeah, the Toy Poodle in the house has this problem as well so we have to constantly keep his face shaved and trim the hair around his eyes.

Frankly I hate shaving because ones I get going, I go...man that poor little girl is almost bald every time I am done with her XD
