Props for evergreen.

You can expect a Labradoodle to express lab qualities and poodle qualities, so you should be able to expect a wolfdog to express wolf qualities and dog qualities.

Terrible comparaison, but still...

I watched one video and it said fences, to contain wolfdogs, have to be eight feet tall just so they can't jump over it. They are beautiful, I agree. But they are part wild and can hurt people.

I think after we prove points no one reads. It always "deh so buttiful! i want 1!"

That is true but there is some that are more dog than wolf, for example you can buy one that is 30% wolf or even one that is 90% wolf. It depends, they could act more like a dog, or a wolf. I have done lots of research, and I do think they are beautiful. I have wanted one ever since I was really little. And I would never buy one without doing the research.

Truth be told it doesnt ever matter what the % is of how much wolf it is...its still wild
I have worked with many breeders and trainers or different breeds. Wolf sides are still strong. These animals are going to have a STRONG pray drive...guess what we are...pray to most who dont know how to train and take care. a simple few classes at petco or some tips on line how to train is not going to cut it. these animals do NOT act like dogs. No matter what.I have done more then enough to know that it takes the right type of person to own this animal because they know what they are looking for in body language. Its harder to tell no matter the % what the body language is saying because the body language of a dog is not the same as a wolf...
for example the pit bull...people say oh I own this breed I know how to take care of dog because I have owned something around the same size...not how it works...even though wolf dogs and pit bulls are very different what they have incommon is people never know how to read the signs. That is why there are so many people say pit bulls are dangerous is because those stupid stupid owners that dont know what they should be watching for and wont learn to watch for it. They jump in before hanging out with people who OWN the type of animal and learn under people who TRULY care

The vet did a blood anylasis. 80% malmute, 20% Siberian Husky.

Wolf/dog breeders tend to be backyard breeders and WILL lie to you to get profit.

Yes they can lie, but if I was ever to buy one, I would probably get a vet to do a test first to see if they are lying.

And yes, I say a "wolf dog" on You tube but it looks like a Siberian Husky and a Malamute to me. It might also just be a skinny, big Husky.

Actually it is not illegal to have one IF you have a license to own one. At least thats what its like where I live.

I don't think a breeder, if they were lying, would let you test before buying. Most regular breeders with regular dogs won't let you do it.

My opinion is if you want to look "cool" get a Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute and lie to everyone.

Yeah but the thing is, if a breeder wasn't lying, they would let you test. But if they were lying, I could just find another breeder.

I don't want a wolf hybrid just to look cool, I just really love wolves, I've been obsessed with them since I was really little, and it would be great to have one.

When doing testing when working with a breeder they do testing on things that may get passed down. Like if there is a line where say the dogs background on both sides have a known problem of hip problems the smart breeder wont breed the pair.

Now walking up to a breeder and challanging them asking for testing...well then thats insulting. Also I do believe hybrids are registered animals. So whats the point of testing if it is registered?
point being my post above I still stick to it

No offense to anyone but just because you are obsessed wwith wolves does not mean you should get on. It unfair to the animal who's confused by his own instincts. Dog instincts? Am I going to be playful and nice? Or wolf? Do I attack them because I'm hungry or do I chase them until they get tired?

If you are obsessed maybe when you get older you can work with wolves in your job. You could be a trainer or a conversationist or you could work at a zoo or anything with animals really. You don't need a pet wolf dog to connect with the animals.

I am with you.
it is easier to work with a wolf...or a dog that looks like a wolf.
Seeing as they are mixed up inside they dont know how to truly behave and 9 times out of 10 people dont know how to handle the confused mixed up animal

i really love that first sentence.

if you are as obsessed with wolves, you would want whats best for the animal and being bred to dogs and producing random mixed puppies is not. in all reality it hurts the species.
i have gone to school to study wolves, re-introduction and population. i have studied numerous books and research regarding wolves past, present and future. i have even gone to the most local research center to learn.
wolves and wolf hybrids are not dogs. and yes tons and i mean tons of people lie about their so called wolf/wolf mixed breedings, most are malamute shepherd mixies, sometimes some husky too, but hardly ever wolf.
to breed them is pointless and i think it should be outlawed. they serve no niche in society.
