Hmm interesting thoughts on Koda. Not sure how likely a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever would be considering I don't think I've ever seen one around here. I wish I knew more about where he came from; I know some lady owns his mom and that she has had (accidental?) litters prior to his, also confiscated by the shelter (why the mother hasn't been seized as well beats me).

I have a photo of all of his siblings, but considering they can have different fathers I guess it isn't a huge help. If you want it though, I can add it to his post.

And Drakonic.. Maybe just a simple GSD x lab? I've seen another dog that's very similar to him in build/coloration with that mix.

Yup! He's GSD and lab ^^

And I know it's odd with considering uncommon breeds. Some areas are more common than others (we have a whippet and Rhodesian BYBer here who has dogs in the shelters fairly often, wouldn't be surprised if they placed them in homes that crossed).

Dog's Name: Liberte (Libby)
Weight: About 50 pounds
Height: About 19 inches
Pictures: I'm sorry these pictures aren't so good...even with my mom helping, she doesn't really know how to stand or stay on command yet...and she's much worse outside. -_-' Here are some more pictures if you want to see them.

We're pretty certain she's a pit bull mix, but we're not sure what kind.

She looks like an Amstaff to me. In the first picture she looks a fantastic weight as well. Her crop, while a bit long, looks great as well, nice and even with no funky edges.

Where'd you get her?
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

We got her from a rescue and were told they found her in New York City. We think she's a staffordshire, but everyone who sees her says she's pretty lean for one and is probably bred with something else, but we can't figure out what that might be.

Bully type definitely. Too stocky to be pure to type apbt but too lean for pure to type amstaff. She's a fantastic weight and her crop is also very nice. I'm wondering who bred her, or who owned her first.

She's very pretty! Is she blue, or is the light just playing tricks on her black fur?

APBT, maybe. Depends. APBT and AMStaffs are generally mutts mixed with one another, can even be dual registered in some places. =)

Now, though, Amstaffs do lean towards a bit of the heavier side (and people keep them really really fat) while the APBT tends to be very athletic and fit.

Image Amstaff that isn't fat, but could still stand to lose a lb or two.

Just to show the difference. =)
