Yep! I own a Pomeranian mixed with a dog we don't know. We're thinking
it's a chihuahua but we're unsure. Her name is Princess.

    Favorite dog breed?:
    Australian Shepherds :3

Tell us about your dog(s), if you have any!:
Princess is small, but has a very playful mind. She loves messing around with us by
nibbling at our hands and jumping onto our faces\laps. We love her dearly and would
be so upset if she were to die.
Princess actually gave birth to 3 healthy puppies 5 weeks ago.
Two males and one female; their names are Loki, Charlie and Baby.
Loki is the black one, Charlie is the light caramel one and Baby is the white one.
As of now, their personalities are developing rather quickly. Loki is a big bully to
Baby, Charlie is super playful and loves to play fight, and Baby whines a lot and is scared of everything.

    Pictures of your dog(s):
I don't have any pictures of Princess, unfortunately,
but I do have pictures of the puppies when they were first born!

[sorry the quality is so bad. we were so excited we took the photos quickly so they're a bit blurry cx]

managed to get some pictures from my uncle. here's the ugly yet adorable bab, princess

So cute! Your very lucky to have three healthy pups, I bet they're heaps of fun haha

I wish our town had a teen centre.

A question for those who train in shelters, how does it work?
Do you go there on a daily basis and work with x number of dogs while you're there, or just focus on one. Is it just a couple of days a week, are you the only one.
I'd love to get a training program going at one of the local shelters, but I'm not sure how other shelters run theirs. Any help?

At the shelter I work at the workers clean the dog kennels and our cat rooms in the back, we have volunteers that walk the dogs and clean the cat rooms up front. Training-wise we don't have a specific program for our shelter dogs and we just kinda try to do what we can with the time we're given (which is close to none). However, our dog walkers are very experienced with animals and usually don't let them get away with anything, and may teach a few tricks too.
On the other hand, we do provide a few amount of training classes for people who are looking to train their dog. If we have a shelter dog that's been with us for a few months and tends to be unrully, we might enroll them in one of our classes and they would attend with an experienced volunteer.

We don't have a trainer on staff, but we do have a *very* experienced volunteer trainer that comes in.
So ultimately, I guess you could say that we don't have a very official training program. We workers do what we can and the volunteers do too.

Thank you guys!
I've got a few ideas that hopefully might work. I might just start by going to another shelter who I know have a training program, then approach the other shelter and see what we might be able to do.

@Mac
I love those pictures, there's just way much awesomeness in them!
Epic is really getting the right (wrap) finish, but sometimes she decides to stop directly behind me and sits down.
Good luck with the Skype call! I hope you guys are able to figure it out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Epic is like my personal bug protection dog. If there's a bug, she's on it, which is nice because I'm terrified of bugs and my siblings always get annoyed when I ask them to deal with one.
Yesterday Epic decided she wanted to eat an ant. I think it bit her in the process, so today she's been staring and watching an ant for five minutes. It looks like she finally got it, but she hadn't been too sure about what to do.

Do you own a dog?: Yep!
Favorite dog breed?: That's a hard one. I think beagles are cute but so are other dog breeds though! Maybe i'll just say I don't have one xD but I like overgrown Chihuahuas (Chihuahuas that are taller then the normal Chihuahua size)
Tell us about your dog(s), if you have any!: I have a male Chihuahua named Byron. He is as cute as can be, and the only dog I know that doesn't gobble up food as soon as he's seen it. He is a skittish dog and doesn't seem to eat much. We got him yesterday and he's warming up to us. I guess he's not comfortable with eating here yet. But he did eat a few treats. Just a few. No. He didn't even wanna drink water right off. but he's a sweet dog. He will be in you lap a lot an he always wants you to pet him.

Byron. He's quite a cutie for a longhair Chihuahua.

The father was actually a maltese x shih tzu, he used to be our former pet before we had to give him away.
He had a cream colored coat, just like two of his offspring cx

Byron's having some trouble. Obviously he is hurting because he keeps crying. And he hasn't eaten hardly anything since we adopted him. He's the only dog I've seen that doesn't like eating out of a bowl, and also very skittish. He doesn't like collars either, and cried when we put it on him. He also cries when we try to take it off. Anyone have any suggestions?

DO YOU OWN A DOG?
Yes, We had quite a few dogs in the past. A few days ago a St. Bernard moved in with us. Our last dog sadly passed away a year ago.

FAVORITE DOG BREED:
All of them. I mean I have no favourites but I like bigger ones better.

Tell us about your dog(s), if you have any!:
On the left side you see Maja, she is a four- month-old Saint Bernard. Right now she has to get used to her environment but she blooms more each day on! She eats, sleeps and loves to play. And she loves to nibble wallpapers. >.< But we're on the right way to fix it. :P She lives only four days here, so everything is alright.

As you can see my English isn't the best because it's not my main language, so excuse my grammar mistakes. :)
