Does anyone recommend getting a Panther Gecko?? I kind of want one.

I can easily buy a 10 gallon tank, reptile carpet, hut, water dish and food (maaaybe heating pad.. maybe)
Money isnt all that much of an issue. Its ease of care and things.
Do they smell? Can It escape? Can I care for it the same as my leo??
I'd recommend something larger than a standard 10 gallon(20L x 11W x 13H). They just aren't big enough to provide a good heat gradient for most lizards. A 20 gallon long (30L x 13W x 13H) would be much, much better. If you can't do a 20 gallon long, then I recommend a 10 gallon long (24L x 9W x 13H) as the bare minimum, but this size is not always easy to find in store, so you may have to order it. You may be able to even ask your local pet store to order it for you from their supplier.
You will need a heating pad, or heat lamp. Without one your gecko will die.
You should also save up to have your gecko tested for parasites by a veterinarian. If you are going through a petstore, then there is a good chance the gecko is wild-caught and carrying parasites. If not treated, some parasites can cause other health problems and premature death.
Most people find panther geckos to be easy to care for compared to other other lizards. All lizards tend to smell to some degree, but if you clean daily, then smell shouldn't be a problem. Yes, they can escape. All lizards can if you do not secure their enclosure with a lid or door(if the care opens from the front and not the top). They are a terrestrial species like leos, so they won't climb glass, but that won't stop them from jumping. There care is very similar to leos.
