Hey there!
I have two cats, Fire and Smokey!

Fire ^ I think she is about 4, we found her as a stray about 3 years ago I think, I think she is pure tortiseshell, she was really skinny when I found her, so for sure we know she wasn't a farm cat, otherwise we have no idea where she came from (she was unspayed as well)

^ Smokey, who is about 14! The Fat Queen

tortiseshell is a colouration not a breed.
They're both very pretty though.
I've received news that my 13 year old cat (I use 'my' very loosely here, as she has lived with my parents for about the past 8 years - when due to life circumstance I was unable to take her with me-) has been declining in health very rapidly. It has been suspect for a while that she was deaf, but now she is beginning to not really groom herself and has begun throwing-up a lot. My parents took her to the vet, and they pretty much concluded that she is just old -there is nothing really treatable that would provide major improvement-. I will be traveling to my parents house this Christmas, and I think they are just putting off the inevitable until I get there, to say goodbye one final time.

Aw DX I'm sorry

A few weeks ago we thought we were going to put her down,
using 'I" loosely as well because she was pooping and peeing all over, and we didn't want to give her to a shelter because of how old she was, but know she seems better so who knows what,
I hope, if there is any chance, your cat feels better DX

My oldest cat, Gabrielle, is starting to be in the same situation. She's gotten skinny, her nasal issues have gotten worse (she had bad kennel cough when we adopted her and never really recovered, even with vet care), and she throws up at least once a week. And, like most old cats, the vet told us there's nothing they can do because that's just what happens when cats get old. She's about 14 years old now, I think. She still eats, grooms herself, gets around, and plays sometimes, so we don't see any reason to put her down.

i have a kitty named sylvia, i sometimes call her princess. she has a brother named peewee but i have no picture of him, she used to have a sister named milly but milly passed away. sylvia and her siblings just came into our house one day as kittens (i have no idea where the were from) and would not leave so from then on we had cats

I've had my wee guy for over a week now and he's being fed completely raw, he's doing great c:
I wouldn't personally feed my cats raw because I don't have any place that I can safely and affordably buy raw meats, but I don't see a problem with it as long as people are responsible with it. As in, don't just feed your cat minced beef out of a tube from Walmart or some other mass merchandiser, or from any random butcher without doing research first.

i have been a “dog person” for forever as i always found dogs friendlier, but for some reason recently i’ve been finding myself loving cats. however, how are cats’ temperaments? I’m looking into adoption but I’m wondering how I could get a more “cuddly” sociable, “dog-like” cat. would it be beneficial to get a kitten to develop such a relationship? any tips, cat owners?
