Cats get used to routine, so whenever that routine is broken, they can become unsure of their surroundings until things return to normal for them. Even if you leave often, cats don't really think in the long term. They only process things on a daily basis, so when one day suddenly becomes off, they'll become a bit stressed and unsure of what to do. If you're there all or most of the day on the days that you aren't going on vacation, then your cat will have become used to your presence. As soon as you go away it throws everything off for them until you get home.

Yikes, that's the second Steve's recall in the last three or so months. Probably gonna have to check lot numbers once I get back to work.
I visited Tambora today and he's gotten fat! He used to eat two cans of Fussie Cat a day but he's gone to two cans of Fancy Feast and unlimited dry food (he steals from the other cat) so no wonder he's putting on the pounds. I'm going to start mailing Fussie Cat to my Oma and told her to cut out dry food to get him back down.
Here's a photo from today's visit.

If you feel that you and your cat/family may be in a dangerous area, I would definitely recommend searching for shelter areas close to you (if you haven't already). As long as you have a carrier or some kind of cage for your cat, there shouldn't be too much of an issue with you taking the cat along.
If you're not required to evacuate, I would suggest keeping your cat in a secure room of your house, like a bathroom or laundry room, until the hurricane passes. There's a possibility that your cat may try to escape, so keeping it somewhere you know it can't get out of is the best option. Spend some time with it also, pet it and give it food/treats to help it stay calm.

Leo's on some Aldis food brand. I feel bad for the poor guy he's gaining weight even though he's always moving and i dont know what to do?? The food is like 5 dollars so thats why my dad buys it but I'm already spending money on dog food so i can't afford also buying cat food and my dad doesn't care that its bad for him, And he also says " a chunky cat is a cute cat " uh? No its gross.
Cute catto and ingredients v
