Hello there (:

I have a quesiton for every cat owner out there (:

Does your cat/Do your cats have a month/season in the year where they get more tired than the rest of the year?
I noticed that my cat Rusty gets really sleepy in summer. Maybe it's because of the hot weather, maybe it's because he stays longer outside than in Winter.

I'm just curious if some of you know this from their cats, too (:

I haven't noticed it in Arty (we haven't had him long and he's pretty young) but I have noticed it in my older cats. Lenney tends to be more sleepy in the summer, since he's outside for long hours and just sleeps outside. And it's because he's fifteen years old, so he's bound to run out of energy a lot more than a young cat. Pickles is the same, and spends more time on my bed, inside. They tend to be a bit more active in the winter, since they're inside a lot more and have the dogs to worry about

I guess it does depend on the cat's age and how much they usually contribute energy-wise. Lenney and Pickles don't hunt or play around much anymore, so the heat in the summer will make them more exhausted. Arty never seems to get tired though.

But I think it's interesting how cats change their activity.
Haha, your little one seems to be a little bit like what Rusty was when I got him 4 years ago - I wonder where they take their energy from xD

My cat Ruff tends to sleep more in the winter than the summer, he is inside more during winter too though! He is nearing 6 yrs old but is still very active. Also I am home a lot more now, so he comes inside more than he use to, so he spends more time sleeping. Summer he tends to stay out longer unless its very hot. My other cat Archie is an indoor cat and he sleeps most of the day but he has been like that since he was a kitten.

[Cats or Kittens]

I have a cat! I don't have much to talk about... but here are some of the things she does. Tell me if your cats do them too, or if mine is just crazy

As soon as I lay out some papers to work on, she comes and lays down on them
Whenever I go to sit down somewhere, she's suddenly there... in my spot
She refuses to snuggle with me in the day when I want, but insists on snuggling at 2 am

Our two are like that, spend all day running around like crazy! Ruff got his name because we bought him and his brother together and called them Ruff and Tumble! Sadly Tumble died about 3 years ago so now we have Archie.

Haha, some cats tend to have more energy than others. My aunt's cat is about eighteen now and is still bursting with energy.. he still drags in rats, I believe.

Arty got a bit crazy yesterday and went shooting up our neighbours' tree. He then got halfway down and jumped off, running back to us. It was hilarious. He sort of stopped halfway back home to check that no one was around. Arty tends to get embarrassed, should any other cat witness him being affectionate

Anyway, I just found out that my Grandad's cat died. Marty was eighteen and lived a very good life, though he did go a little bit senile towards the end. He was a good companion to Mindi, who will now have to try and become friends with Bobo, who will definitely not like the arrangement. Rest In Peace, Marty

Really? Hmmm...my cat doesn't things like laying down on my work (actually he is sort of afraid of paper O.o) but I heard that some cats really like to do that. If I'm right, one of my relatives had once a cat who did this.
But the other to things are similar to that what my cat loves to do. He doesn't want to snuggle until I'm stressed. Then he wants to cuddle for hours.
And the cat of my sister always steals my chair in the kitchen xD

We also had a cat until a year ago who was still quite active despite being about 20 years or so old. He only has been sleepy and inactive the last half a year of his life because he was ill so we hat to put him to sleep...But I'm happy that he was so active and happy t'ill the end (:

Aw, sorry for your loss. My mum's cat stayed hyper to the end as well (in other words, being a little monster - the cat went for your throat O.O)

Arty's such a silly boy. It's funny because he did the exact thing that Lenney does when it's really windy. He's a typical teenager, trying to hide the fact that he's a mommy's boy.

Yeah, Marty was a good cat. Went slightly loopy towards the end (my Grandad had a call once because he was half a mile away, wandering around and looking lost) and fell off chairs, but he was a good cat <3

Bobo is not going to be happy, the weird cat. He doesn't like people nor other cats, so this should be interesting. Mindi's really excitable and affectionate so they probably won't get along well XD
Just realized how many cats I'm speaking about here. Yikes, I must be a crazy cat person, haha.
