Ok, so I have a question of my own. I am still working on teaching my dog how to heel. Problem is, winter came. Ice happened. So I can't get outside without sliding everywhere which isn't the best way to train a puppy. Any ideas? Plus, any tips for heeling would be wonderful.

Why cant she go to stores intact?

Also super sorry about the delay! I meant to post the currant research so you can make an informed decision for JJ. ^^; obviously if you 100% can not keep her from having a litter s/n is fine, its your dog and your desicion!

https://www.avma.org/news/javmanews/pages/131101a.aspx The stance by The American Veterinary Medicine Association. Mentions a study done but doesnt cite it

https://www.ucdavis.edu/news/golden-ret ... dog-health Golden retriever study conducted by UNiversity of California Davis

http://www.naiaonline.org/pdfs/LongTerm ... InDogs.pdf A pretty balanced study that takes a look at both sides of the issue

https://www.avma.org/News/JAVMANews/Pages/100301g.aspx Interesting study done of Rotties and longevity

http://www.petmd.com/dog/conditions/end ... thyroidism Only posting for the snippet of " spay and Neutered dogs seem to be at a higher risk of thyroid disease" i know theres an avtual study somewhere but I cant find it. Hhhuurrrr. But theres multiple pages reffing it and a few vets sharing their expriences with it.

http://veterinarynews.dvm360.com/study- ... -shepherds Hey, this was a new one for me! Came out over the summer! German Shepherds and early spay/neuter triples the risk of one or more joint issues

http://saveourdogs.net/wp/wp-content/up ... n-dogs.pdf Interesting write up on how behavior is impacted by early spay/neuter
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe

It's my dad. He won't let any of our dogs go anywhere besides the vet and lake house if they are intact. Sheaba, we are not getting spayed because my dad thinks 7-8 years is too old and that she won't get pregnant. Dad also doesn't believe that Sheaba is dog-aggressive because of her not being socialized. And mom believes that socializing with the other family dog is enough. Ugh! Why don't my parents get it? And yes, I have explained to them and showed them proof multiple times.

Thank you! I read some articles and might try this if all else fails. I am trying another method and she seems to be taking to it.
