Dunno, it might be because they're predators who chase down and suffocate their prey until they die, it might be because sometimes they run off and decide to cull an entire herd of sheep or it might be that they have decided to maul a human child for no particular reason, but other than that I cant think of why we would think they're savage.

Hi. May I just post here and ask to join? I'm sorry if I missed a form or something in the introduction post.
Let's see-
I've been a supporter of wolves since I was very little and saw a small group of them at a local zoo with my uncle. I'll admit at first, I thought they were dogs and was really curious why we couldn't go inside and pet them or play with them like my dogs at home. The guide explained to us that the wolves were nervous of us and could be very dangerous if they got scared, but as she was explaining this, two of the three in the enclosure came closer and just watched us.
That and add a dash of the movie Balto (the first movie I was allowed to see when I was little without an adult might I add, gosh I was so proud of that, haha) and I was on the wolf bandwagon, ready to help and support.
Hi nice to meet you guys!
❤ ♡ ❤excuse me please, I just need a sip

Wolves should not be treated as if they are harmless, of course they aren't, they are predators and under the right circumstances can and have killed humans. However, describing an entire species as "savage" for killing prey and sometimes humans when you could say the same about just about any other predator really is unneeded. People as well have done many horrible things, however it would be wrong to label all humans for deeds others have done. People should fear all predators, however they should also understand that predators aren't just savages, they hold a purpose in nature and people should respect that. My two cents, fear of wolves is important but so is a respect of them in the purpose they hold.
"You shout it out,
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium"

Between school, my pets, homework, art and life I have not been able to get on cs often, so please don't be surprised if I'm not very active.

savage (adj)
1.
fierce, ferocious, or cruel; untamed: savage beasts.
Wolves are in fact fierce, ferocious and untamed. It is part of what makes them so beautiful.
They are savage.

Wolves only attack if they are provoked, or if someone/something breaches their territory. They are hostile, and territorial, but there haven't been many reports other than some babies with very illogical parents.
A wolf attack is an attack on a human by a wolf or wolves. Wild wolves are naturally aggressive but are generally cautious enough to occasionally appear timid around humans. Wolves usually try to avoid contact with people, to the point of even abandoning their kills when an approaching human is detected, but there are several reported circumstances in which wolves have been recorded to act aggressively toward humans.
Compared to other carnivorous mammals known to attack humans in general, the frequency with which wolves have been recorded to kill or prey on people is much lower, indicating that though potentially dangerous, wolves are among the least threatening for their size and predatory potential.

hello friend this is wrong
wolves [and any animal, really] will take any opportunity to feed. if youre standing there outside of their territory and they just happen to see you theyre gonna come after you, they aint gonna stand in the boundaries thinking
damn i cant get them theyre not in my territory ugh
