that can happen at times if you set aside a room for the cat to get used to in and the doog seperate then after a while do the meetings and then if it goes well they can roam freely get down to the cats level like on your knees or sitting and let the cat come to you

Hiya guys!

Big news! I went to see a cat in my local area, the owner didn't want him anymore so he said I could have him for free. I've reserved him and I'm picking him up in 2 weeks.

What I did is put the cat in either a bathroom with its litterbox and stuff or in a closet (Basically any small room) Then go in there and sit down and if it comes to you pet it and love on it for a hour or so (the hour can be spaced out or all at one time) and just let it get use to you. Then after a week or so, start introuducing it to the dog slowly so if it gets scared, it knows you and will come to you instead of hiding.

I didn't plan on getting him.
I was walking my dog, Rio, in the local park today and I bumped into an old neighbor of mine, he still lives close by. He started talking about Rio and how he has grown, he then ended up telling me about his cat, Joey (Changing his name). He said that his fiance was allergic to cats and he needed a new home for Joey ASAP.

That's how I ended up getting him. Only 2 weeks until I bring him home! YAY!

He's adorable! You're so lucky to be getting such a unique-looking cat, I love his eyes. I hope everything works out fine when you introduce your dog to the cat. How old is he?
