I have to agree with Saracirce for the most part. I've only ever seen four Golden's that I really like the look of. Dixie, my friend's dog Bo, my aunt and uncle's dog Jackson, and my old neighbor's dog Cody. Cody is unbelievably gorgeous, I'll have to try to get a pic of him some time.

I think I tend to like the lankier Goldens compared to the bulkier show ones.

It's not about the looks for me (even though Dixie is gorgeous!). It's the personality I like. She's not a typical Golden and I like that because I don't like the typical Golden personality.

I don't dislike any dog breed, but Golden's do nothing for me at all.
They all look the same and their temperament is just not what I'm looking for either.
But Dix is stunning.
She is eye catching and has a beautifully coloured coat.

You sure got that right! XD Dixie is...she's definitely out of the norm for a Golden. I LOVE the breed and they just 'click' for me, but Dixie is different. She enjoys the company of people, but she's not a total people slut and doesn't really seek out attention from strangers. Did I mention how velcro she is? >_<

That was taken at 2013's Guisachan Gathering in Scotland, at the the estate which was the birthplace of the Golden Retriever breed. It's a dream of mine to go one day. X3 Of course, I might not be able to take Dixie (it'd be way too stressful for her!), but it'd still be a neat thing to witness. c:

Like you said, she's not a people slut but she's velcro. She seems to have a good amount of drive as well as seeming to be happy-go-lucky when she's not stressing over something. She makes you laugh. Pretty much that's what I like in Boxers but Dixie seems to not be protective as much as I'd like. So, yeah, I like Dixie.
