I honestly don't think you should buy another reptile, of any kind, until you learn more about infections / diseases / illnesses in general.

You can try visiting some locally owned pet stores (like family run and arent chains)
I got my newt from there and I have had her for over a year. Sometimes they get their pets from breeders. You can talk to them about it!

I know plenty. I searched forever on the internet rying to figure out what was wrong and spent a ton of money trying to help him and make him better. There isn't anything I could have done to help him.

In future the first thing you need to do is TAKE IT TO A VET. No one here on CS is a vertified vet that can freely give you information. People in this thread are hobbyists and you should NOT ask them for serious advice if your pet is sick. It is actually against CS to ask for any kind of medical advice here. The death of your bearded dragon was probably preventable yet you did not think to take him to a vet until a few hours before he died.

In future DO NOT search the internet for answers about a very sick animal and DO NOT ask hobbyists.
Go to a vet, if you think they are wrong in their diagnoses, GO TO A DIFFERENT ONE.

I raised hell when my parents denied a pet medical care, didn't stop tell they broke. Saved my dog's life.


A personal limitation I put upon myself, if I am unable to provide proper medical care (vet visits) for any reason I do not add another animal to my house. I know that might sound grim for a younger person, but think about how the animal could potentially suffer without having that option.

I did something similar when my mom said we couldn't get my ball python to the vet the day I found him burnt. Fortunately she didn't actually deny getting him care, and luckily she works at the vet clinic and got a discount.

Well I'm sorry. And you think didn't want to take him to a vet? I told my granddad that he needed to go the vet 3 WEEKS AGO! But he said no because it would cheaper just to get a new one and we would just keep trying to help him. I wanted to take him! But unfortunately a kid has no say so in when and were a pet goes to the vet so don't get mad at me saying he should have gone to a vet. I know!

And I am very sorry for loosing my temper but tere is nothing I love more than animals and I was not basing everything on what I learned from here. I was just looking fr some ideas.

it cost me $50 dollars to get king seen to and to buy medicine, I doubt it would be cheaper to buy a new $200 bearded dragon than to get him seen to. Next time, demand a vet.

I don't like seeing fighting over animals and its not the animals fault that it died.
