Wow! They're so big already! Congrats!

We also have a diamond dove, but unfortunately one of our two finches passed on easter. I am not sure yet if we will get the other a new friend considering how old he is already

Thank you all! The chick on the left has already started flying, and the other is not too far behind. Still no names for them though, any suggestions? :3 The smaller chick always has it's beak open waiting for food, even though it eats constantly! (Sorry about your finch, cat)

Hmm I guess you're looking for gender neutral names since you probably don't know their genders yet..

If they're boy(s):
Moby
Buffy
Cosmo
Ace
Finn
Romeo
Bruno
Toby
Teddy
Zues
Ziggy
Zeeby

If they're girl(s):
Athena
Hazel
Heidi
Nala
Callie
Dasy
Dixie
Luna
Lulu
Sasha
Stella
Gigi
Mia
Millie
Winnie
Riley
Piper

I can never find the right name for new pets! I say just watch them and one will come into your mind eventually! My boy, Nash, was one of those cases.. I was actually listening to the radio and dancing/singing to him and this song came on by an artist with the word "Nash" in the title and it just stuck!

I decided to go with Hazel and Ziggy! =) Since those names can go for either male or female, they wouldn't have to be renamed. I've got more recent photos of them and the older chick has started to fly and eat seeds, since the smaller chick hatched 2-3 days later he is trying to do the same! Sorry about the size of the photos, i couldn't get them any smaller >_<

Ah they're so cute! And I love those names (: Glad you're allowing them to fly, I bet they're so happy! What type of mutation do they have? Our diamond dove is grey and black, they're very cool!

Your dove sounds gorgeous, I've never heard of a grey and black before! The doves are in a big aviary and always have full wings to fly around in the day, and they go in a cage at night to keep them from flying in the dark. I believe the mutation of the female is a silver white tail, though she's a bit more white then one. Hazel, the bigger chick, seems to be turning out white like her. Ziggy's feathers instead of turning white, are going blue like the male doves! I don't have any pictures of the male but i do of the female. She's laid another egg now, which i'll soon candle under a flashlight to check if it contains another chick. The other pair of doves (one half pattern less and the other blue with a brown back) have an egg as well, but unfortunately the other egg had too thin of a shell and dented, so I'm hoping remaining egg hatches.

Wow she is beautiful! and so are the babies! Is the aviary outside? I would LOVE to build an aviary for mt lovebird but I simply lack the money and space outside... so he just has his cage and the run of my room whenever I'm home. I'd love to enrich it more though!

Thanks! The aviary is outside, they love the space and the sun. Sometimes they come in when they don't have any eggs or babies to take care of, so they stay tame and don't get bothered if you put your hand near them. Are lovebirds similar in care to a parakeet? I
have an indoor parakeet, but even though the cage is open all day she doesn't like to come out. She's hand tamed and loves to be pet, though. :3

Wow that's awesome! You should definately share a picture!

Lovebirds are the same in 'care' basically... they're both small parrots and all... but I would never in my life label a Lovebird as a "beginner bird"... They are so so so much more demanding than a budgie or even a cockatiel in most cases. They have a HUGE ego and an even bigger beak XD Very moody and hormonal and not for the light at heart to own... Budgies are usually much sweeter and quieter... but I can hear my lovebird from outside and on the other side of our HOUSE... he's very noisy when he wants to be and can bite like no other!

Weird how she doesn't enjoy coming out.. My Nash would have a heart attack if he didn't get to come out for even a day XD
