SNAILS!!! actually they make great pets!!! and theyre cute!!

also, CANE TOADS, people are more interested about the tiny, cute frogs, not the bird eater, the one and only, the amazing cane toad. cane toads are cool as heck!!

pretty much ANY insect or arachnid, but i wanna show some love for spiders, particularly tarantulas!!
they're easy to keep, very interesting, and not as scary as they may seem at first! they get a pretty bad rep but they're generally pretty chill and just wanna sit around and occasionally eat bugs :]

also, hissing cockroaches !! they don't carry diseases like the roaches you may find in a house, they don't bite, and they're pretty interesting to view as well!

If we're talking underrated animals I would like to mention the Okapi. I've absolutely loved this one ever since I was a kid, and I still think they look amazing. Kinda like a horse with zebra legs and a giraffe head. Apparently it's also one of the only two living members of the Giraffidae family with the other, of course, being giraffes.

The Shoebill stork. Either meme-d on or referred to as scary and mean looking, I just think they are very neat animals and one of the most unique birds we have the pleasure of sharing this planet with, even if they do look a little bit frightening they are such underrated and beautiful birds
