I sometimes petsit, and on occasion humorous things happen. For example, sometimes a dog's toy will go under the furniture, and they'll make a big production. There's a rottweiler who owns four thousand toys. But if the one she wants is out of reach, she'll whine until she gets it. Another time, my aunt and uncle's puppy couldn't get a toy from under the coffee table, and she got frustrated, starting to bark and growl at it.
My aunt's chihuahua is a crochety old lady when it comes to unfamiliar dogs. When they got a new puppy, it took a while for her to warm up to the idea of a new dog, Every time the poor creature came near, the chihuahua made a face like a possessed gremlin. And she still hates my cousin's dog. She throws a fit when he comes near. Huge doberman, but he just goes, "Nope, staying away from her."
A cat I sometimes care for loves her wet food. Once you have the can, there she is. She'll be trying to get the food while I'm still trying to scoop it into the bowl. She probably wouldn't care if I spooned it on her head. Honestly, she risks having it occur, because she's in such a hurry to stick her face in the food bowl. I try to block her from reaching the bowl until I'm finished getting it out of the can, which can be a challenge, because she's good at getting past me.
Once a cat tried licking my hair, but because of its length, she couldn't get it off her tongue. She struggled for a bit before I reached back and pulled the strands away from her tongue.
The rottweiler I petsit goes nuts when the TV is on. She'll jump up and down in front of it. If an animal is on the TV, sometimes it riles her up even more. While watching the animated film 'Anastasia', she went nuts whenever the dog barked or made an appearance.
While volunteering at the animal shelter, there was a cat that would drool while being petted. I mean, majorly drool, just dripping from his face.
